Got slices to go. Staff was super friendly and fun. Pizzas there look deliciously stunning I can't wait to go back and try another kind. Picked the white pizza today and it is hands down the best way pizza I've ever had in my mouth in my entire life. I'm going to dream about this slice of pizza until I die. I highly recommend it.
There are a number of great pizza places in the Pittsburgh area, and Aiello's certainly ranks up there with the best of them. Really liked to be able to order by the slice, which allowed us to sample several of their offerings. We were not disappointed with anything we tried. There is quite a few styles of pizza to choose from, an incredibly deep list of toppings, including egg plant, which I tried on a pizza for the first time. Aiello's has seating for dining in, and a large beer and soft drink selection. Everything was delicious.
I like this place. It's an institution. It's been there forever. They sell by the slice, which is important to me. I don't have time to stand around waiting for someone to make a personal pie for me. I want a slice or two on a paper plate, and I am out. Walking down Murray Ave with a streak of orange grease running down my arm. Glorious, right? On the plus side, the pizza is consistent and balanced. Not too much cheese (looking at you, Mineo's...). Nice crunch on the crust, and a tasty sauce where the oregano comes through. Pizza- good pizza is about balance. Also, the slice is the right size! You gotta be able to do the fold. As for the negative, well, the staff can be a little gruff. On a street with at least three pizza shops in walking distance, this is my second favorite. Tasty food, but I don't want to hang out there.
I don’t know what happened I used to love your steak hoagies there. the meat was cheap or something idk but it was tough and every single piece has gristle in it like I don’t know if the recipe change, but it is not the same aiellos I used to go to
We went to the pizza place next door first but there was a horrible chemical smell, not like a pizza place at all. So we walked out and came Here instead. It smelled good, was clean and bright and the pizza was quite good. I loved the crust. I had the the stuffed meat and my husband had the stuffed vegetable. We both really enjoyed it and would come back.
One of the best pizzas I've ever had. The crust is buttery and delicious. The varieties run from the usual to the innovative. And you can have a beer while waiting for your pizza. Would definitely go back.
Perfect pizzeria pizza. Crispy crust. Ooey gooey cheese with the pepperoni and grease underneath. This pizza is soooo tasty!! We also ordered a small Stromboli with ham and pepperoni. The sauce was inside, that was new for me. Fried mushrooms as an appetizer-decent portion size. Clean restrooms, clean dine in. Great atmosphere!
Neat pizza history on the place and its neighbor
Well I don't know where to start so many people were raving about the new Aiello's and Shaler Township at the bottom of Birch Hill Road so I had to try it the first thing that caught me off guard was the price I wanted a large pizza but I ordered a small because of the price and it was basically $19 for a two topping small pizza the sauce was bitter the crust hurt your teeth the pepperoni was that cheap parchment paper pepperoni that everybody uses and the green olives were clumped together like somebody just took their fingers pinched them and drop them honestly if I had to compare them to any other pizza shop in the area I would say they were by far my worst Pizza experience certainly you'll have to try it for yourself everybody else may have different tastes but I highly recommend starting out with a small because a large pizza with a couple Toppings is going to cost you close to $30 the overpowering flavor in the sauce was oregano who puts that much oregano and pizza sauce maybe basil but not oregano I can't speak of anything other than the pizza but I can tell you that it's at the bottom of my list of pizza shops in the route 8 area my favorite pizza shop is the little known Parkside Grill Bakerstown North on Route 8 that is my number one choice compared to any other shop in the area that's including many of us and aiellos. I've added a few pictures to illustrate the lack of cheese and the messy distribution and sparse distribution of cheap toppings canned green olives and run-of-the-mill pepperoni there was nothing on this pizza that tasted remotely good to me the last picture that you see posted is not an ilo's Pizza but a Parkside Grill Bakerstown on Route 8 give them a try plenty of cheese a true hard pepperoni that you will not be disappointed in and their prices are amazing as well as the rest of their food
