Popped in on the way past and very glad we did food was good and ale helpful staff all good
We're told o arrival that we were too late for food as they stopped serving at 2pm. We then stood by the bar in an attempt to buy drinks and were just ignored. What the staff member didn't tell us was that the whole pub closed at 2pm. Its surprising but up to them what time they close but informing us would have been useful.
Extremely disappointed went here today,and wanted coffee with oat milk didn't do that also no vegan options. Lady behind bar not very polite or friendly.
Very poor for well know holiday place and in 2024....
Popped in for a few drinks and had a lovely time. The staff were attentive, particularly the lady in the glasses who did her utmost to make sure everyone was satisfied. The food looked good and the other patrons seemed satisfied with it. Sure, it isn't as "classy" as the Inn across the road (and the prices aren't really any cheaper), but I can't really fault the place as we had a pleasant time. They sell nick nacks related to that TV show which is fine by me, never watched it myself so I'm not bothered about any of that. We just had a nice pint in a warm, cosy room, and went to bed satisfied. ????????
Smaller than expected as half of it is a hotel. Great to go where Heartbeat was filmed, beautiful little village. Didnt eat here but drinks are ok, staff could be friendlier
Popped in for a coffee to have outside. Two young staff were courteous and drinks were brought to us outside. I just found the place austere and lacking in ambience. Nothing special at all.
Spent an hour here until I realized it was where the TV show Heartbeat was filmed. Beautiful place .
Just dropped in for a cocktail for my grandson who'd just had his 18th birthday and is delighting in the occasional alcoholic drink.
I was driving so it was hot chocolate for me. The barmaid was very perceptive and diluted the cocktail well with lemonade.
Pleasant part of my grandsons Heartbeat experience.
