They cut off my hair. I literally have patches, I feel like I only have 60% or less of my original hair that I walked into the salon with. At the end of my braiding, I remember the youngest girl working in there take the scissors and cut my braids like on the flat surfaces I assumed to cut off any tiny hairs sticking out, which could have taken care of with a hot water dip, which they did do as well. But the girl used the scissors all the way from the tips cutting all the way to the roots. I took my hair out a couple months later and I'm taking out whole entire roots and my hair is so thin even the next hair dresser who just washed it couldn't even speak English but wanted my phone to take a picture of how patchy and bald it is. I feel bald. I have never been so upset with my hair before in my life. I've had cancer before and had to cut my hair off and this almost feels worst than that. I'm so upset it took me a while to even ready to make this review. And this will never be enough. I am going to make them feel the repercussions. I have proof. A whole freezer bag saved of my own hair who should not have ever came out of my head. No it was not dead hair. It was not the normal stuff you lose when you comb or Even take out braids. No I did not cut my hair too short. The salon worker cut my hair off at the roots and I need To know if they're that stupid or were they just being malicious? They're definitely one or the other. I'm going to file a complaint with the state board. And if I can sue I will sue because you cut off my hair and I did not go in there spend 160 to get turned bald. No they're going to pay. Do not go to this store. The girl who cut off my hair has no hair for herself and I wonder if they just want others to favor her self.
No one showed up at the shop I had an appointment at, so I went to two other shops that couldn't take me. Frustrated, I called Aicha, and she told me to come over. I am SO happy I did. It was the nicest and cleanest of the four shops, the price was reasonable, and Sylvia did an EXCELLENT job. She actually listened, made suggestions, and I loved the way she did my cornrows/crochet hairstyle. I'm new to the area and was looking for a braid shop, and now I've found one!
Julia is sweet and did a great job with sewing in tracks. Only issue is price went up a few dollars the next day to have the same thing done without an explanation when i asked. I didn't like that.
The best hair braiding salon in Georgia. They are super fast with superb results! They even helped with braid removal. This is Gwinnett's best kept secret!!!
If I could give zero stars I would. Confirmed a 10am appt for my two daughters hair. Made the appointment two weeks in advance. Large box braids for one and simple corn rows for the other. Got there on time. No one starts on my first daughters hair til 11:30am. Stylist constantly stopping to accommodate other clients when they come in even though I had a confirmed appointment. They start my second daughters hair at 2:30pm. Same thing constant stop and start. Don’t walk out of the salon until 7PM! NINE FREAKING HOURS! No apologies or anything even with my constant complaints throughout the day. No respect for clients time. Run don’t walk somewhere else. Much better salons than this in Gwinnett!
I'm giving a 3 only bc Aicha the owner is wonderful and provides a great service when she is there. HOWEVER, the other Aisha that work there (late 20s early 30s) lack tenderness, creativity and customer service. This is the 1st time in 40 yrs I had to show a braider the hairstyle I wanted 20 times! After all the times I
had to show her she still did not do the style correctly. Also, I told the young lady that my hair is fine at the crown of my head so she would need to braid the top at a certain angle. She did not do that. So she took out 4 braids and a clump of my already thin hair came out
and did her best attempt at braiding in a curve. She can only braid well in a straight line. She slap the brush on my head to brush my hair. Idk if she is always rough or if it was me? I had to separate my own hair. 1st time for that! She talked on the phone 75% of the time she was to do my hair. Not with an ear piece either. So if corse she couldn't do her best. She was so unprofessional I started to think she had problem with me. I considered getting up and out of there but I already paid and I could already tell it would be an issue asking for a refund. After going to the Aicha
and taking my daughter I'm not sure I'm go back. There are far too many awesome braiders in the metro Atlanta area to get this type of treatment.
Owner extremely kind and accommodating. Went in to ask for an appointment, and was offered immediate service. I appreciate the time and kindness in a space where I will spend my money. The two young ladies who worked on my hair were cordial but of course talked a lot about others and probably me. That got on my nerves but maybe it help their time pass faster. Customers can ignore all of that and get what you need in good taste. Thank you for the beautiful hair style, quality work, mostly gentle hands and timely service. Most valued: thank you Ms. Aicha for changing the tv to a child or family friendly station while being serviced. I really value your demeanor and the peaceful atmosphere you encourage while being serviced.
Nice Ladies! Called as soon as they opened and I got an appointment after work for 1pm same day. My waist length small knotless braids are flawless! Their prices are very reasonable! I was done by 5pm???????? I will go there again.
