Interesting place to grab some Indian food. The menu has a good amount of options which isn't overwhelming. I would def try to get here earlier than usual just because of how packed it gets later in the day. Def try their cheese toast and chilli paneer. Both are really good starters. I would avoid their butter chicken though. It was too watery and sweet. Not like typical butter chicken. Our food came out quick and the ambiance was alright. Nothing crazy about this place but they do have good options if you are in the mood for some Indian food.
Extremely unique and well-flavored Indian food. It is very authentic and delicious. I would highly recommend it. Since it was quite crowded that day, it took some extra time to get the server's attention to check out quickly. However, the food and ambiance are worth exploring
We were thoroughly impressed by this location. Definitely our favorite Indian place for date night. Parking can be tough in the area but the food makes it worth it.
We loved every meal starting with the Pav Baji, Vada Pao and Dahi Batata Puri, Lotus Roof Kofta. They were all a bit different but absolutely flavor bombs. If your familiar with Indian cuisine keep in kind the food can be very spicy. Even the Indian sodas were delicious. Amazing menu, can’t go wrong with any of the choices. We’re definitely coming back soon. The service was excellent as well
It was our first time here and we loved the vibe. Very Indian decor, walls donned with Indian newspapers, brought back memories from home. Super friendly owners. We started off with keema pav- delicious, spicy and great portion size. We then got chicken dum biryani and Lal Maas curry, both of which were delectable. The biryani had right amount of spices and flavors and very tender chicken. It was served with a raita on the side. Great experience will surely be back to try the other varieties.
I’ve been here for lunch and dinner. The vibe/atmosphere for dinner is definitely cozier. The food is always really good here and the portion size is generous. The non-alcoholic beverage options are a bit limited but it’s not a big deal.
It’s a nice casual spot. I’d recommend making a reservation especially for weekend dinner as it’s a little out of the way.
High quality Indian food that’s tucked away in one of the less busy areas of LIC. I’d definitely make the trek out here again since everything was delicious. Would highly recommended the biryani, the meat is absolutely delicious! The vibe inside is cozy and the food really hits the spot after a long day. Looking forward to coming back soon!
Had a great meal here for some spicy, authentic Indian food! Everything was delicious and the mango lassi was a great add (very thick and flavorful) our dinner. We ordered the Bheja Fry (fried goat brains) for appetizer, and Dilliwala Butter Chicken and Lucknow Dum Biryani (goat biryani) for the mains - recommend all! We also ordered the garlic naan which was delicious and goes really well with the butter chicken sauce. You’re in for extra treat if you enjoy spicy food!
I would say the place was known for an Indian Canteen vibe (Adda means “a place where people hang out”), so the sitting areas are a bit cramped and you’re literally about to rub shoulders with your neighboring tables, which we didn’t particularly enjoy.
The service was fast and attentive, but you just have to make sure you have an appointment with the place. (Last time we tried walking in without an appointment, the older gentleman in the restaurant was very dismissive and borderline rude, and did not even try to help us out with estimating waiting time etc.)
Great food, amazing staff. We loved the Golgappa chat with dahi and butter chicken was too good. Would love to go back again.
