I recently had an issue with my Honda Accord. Called several Dayton area stealerships and got different quotes ($250 range in estimates) for the same job. Decided to look around for a trusted independent shop and came across Acu-Hon Specialties. After reading the excellent reviews, I gave them a call. I was given a more reasonable estimate and the assurance I needed that the job would be done well. I am very picky about who works on my vehicles and I was super impressed with everything about this shop. The owner/operator does all of the work by himself. He is extremely knowledgeable and honest. For anyone looking to have work done on their Honda/Acura, I would definitely recommend this shop. You may have to wait a bit to get in, but it is worth it.
Fast friendly service. Genuine Honda parts, been in the business for years, very knowledgeable, will point out problem areas other than immediate repair. Very confident about taking all my family's cars there.

Great shop! Gary (owner and the mechanic) is very nice, does exceptional work at a fair price, and gets it right the first time. It’s so hard to find a trustworthy, competent, fair, and honest mechanic these days and Gary is all of the above. I worked in the automotive service industry for 10+ years and am very picky and skeptical as a result. I do 90% of my own repairs on all 3 of my family’s vehicles but there are times a job is above my skill level or requires specialty tools and for those times there is nobody else I’d rather work on our Honda Odyssey than Gary. Trust me, when a mechanic exceeds my expectations, they are truly phenomenal. If you own a Honda or Acura, take it to Gary. You won’t regret it. He’s the best around, and it isn’t even close! We've been seeing Gary at Acu-Hon for our vehicle service since 1996. He is hands down the best Honda mechanic we know.
He was formerly the head mechanic at our Acura of Dayton dealer. He opened his own shop to be more independent and take the time he deemed needed for each vehicle. Since he only works on Hondas and Acuras, he knows the vehicles like the back of his hand. He can talk model year strengths and weaknesses and service manual details off the top of his head. He will take the time to discuss your individual vehicle in detail, in fact he seems to enjoy the discussion.
You will be very happy you use Gary at Acu-Hon.
Have been taking my Honda vehicles to Gary for greater than 15 years. Four Hondas later cannot think of anywhere else I would go. Extremely honest and does not try to pad or replace items that don't have to be done.
