I recently had a self inflicted dent (trailer jack knife) repaired on my pickup. The entire process went as I was told it would and the end result is a good as new pickup and a bill only $7.00 over the original estimate. I'm very pleased with the overall experience will use ACME again should the need arise in the future.
Our vehicle took an incredibly long time to get back which wasn’t completely their fault as insurance was being a pain. I do feel like they could have kept me in the loop better however did knock some off the price and the vehicle is fixed perfectly which is the end game. Would recommend again
An excellent body shop to do business with. CSRs do a great job communicating about your project and techs do awesome work getting your vehicle looking good and back on the road. Have done business here several times, always treats or sweets in the office by the coffee pot. Mike will make you laugh but will tell it to you straight when it comes to your cost and completion timelines. Paint matches are great, new parts are shiny, and they even washed off my muddy pickup. Hopefully we never hit a deer again, but IF we do, we’ll be back
The Good: Mike and the Team at ACME Body Shop are friendly. They are willing to make you feel like you are a priority as a customer.
The Not So Good: After 14 weeks of being without a car, we still don't have a definitive timeline on the completion of repairs to our 2022 Mazda. From waiting to order parts after our car has set in the shop for at least 8 weeks, constant false promises and moving completion dates this has been a nightmare of a process.
*Mike and team has attempted to rectify the situation. I will provide an update on the quality of the work when we pick up our car.
They do work, sure it took 2 and a half months but nothing they can do when parts are on back order and geico kept dragging their feet. They've done all the work on any one of my vehicles.
Mike's efficiency at the car repair shop is impressive! He promptly ordered the necessary parts and attentively listened to my needs. He also asked John to give me a free ride!
John was also so friendly and he engaged comforting conversation along the way, which helped alleviate my anxiety after the car collision. They’re a great team!
In contrast, my experience at a different shop was worrisome as the estimator seemed uncertain about the timeline for repairs, mentioning it could take until September and potentially even longer if more damages were found.
Trusting my instincts, I am leaning towards going with Mike. I'll continue to provide updates on my experience with him. ---date: Aug 1, 2023
Aug 21, 2023—update: called several times and still not sure when it will be fixed. Will keep updating....
Update: I received the car last Friday, Sep 1st, just before the Labor Day holiday, with Mike handling the delivery. Overall, I'm satisfied with the service. However, there are a few small issues that need attention. The newly installed parking sensor is not working properly, the small dent on the front hasn't been repaired, and the chipped paint has not been addressed.
Update: I followed up on Monday morning, Sep 5th and had a conversation with Mike about these concerns. To my surprise, he offered a sincere apology and committed to arranging for the car to be picked up on Sep 18th, a date that works well for me.
In my view, what matters most is not the initial oversights, but how a company handles and resolves such issues. So I have to update my rating to 5 and will keep you posted.
Update on Sep 25th: as per Mike's commitment, he promptly scheduled the car pickup on September 18th and dropped off on 22nd. His team meticulously calibrated the parking sensors, and I'm pleased to report that they are now functioning as effectively as they were before.
As for the dent, I must admit that my expectations were not exceptionally high, but to my surprise, it has actually diminished in size. However, the minor paint chip issue was overlooked once again. Nevertheless, I've decided to fix it myself using a "car paint pen," so it's not a significant concern.
On the whole, I am genuinely content with the service provided by this establishment. Mike, in particular, exemplifies outstanding customer service with his positive and helpful attitude. As a constructive suggestion, it might be beneficial for the shop to document the specific repair requirements in writing and request customers to sign off on them. This proactive measure would help ensure that nothing is overlooked during the repair process, reducing the potential for misunderstandings in the end.
These guys have been fabulous since day 1. And I am a “frequent flier” for sure. Since 1999–when I was ???? enough to find them!!

Acme body shop is the best in Great Falls. They do fantastic work at a fair price. They have an extremely experienced staff. They do amazing work. They have repaired my 2008 Toyota Tundra and most recently my wifes 2022 Ford Ranger. They are perfectionist. Both vehicals look better than new. Jay the owner and Mike the Manager are awesome to work with. It's rare to find people that really care and take care of you like you are the only one that matters. A very special thank you to the entire staff. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of auto repair and paint work.
