Had a a new clutch put onto my car paid £550, once I got the car back I had problems all different horrible sounds coming from under the bonnet , I taken car back they said it’s the timing chain….! I told them I’ve had the car for 3 years never have I heard that sound Before I brought the car into you, without any horrible sounds at all…! they insisted that they never touched that part of the car… for me I was heartbroken as I already spent all my money on the clutch…! I will never use this firm again & I would like to warm everyone out there to do the same very bad mechanics.

Called for a quote for some repairs after failing an MOT elsewhere. Brought the car in that same afternoon for a diagnosis and was given candid advice about it being trial and error to get the issues resolved, but that they'd worked on an engine with a similar problem recently so had an inkling. They went the extra mile and arranged a courtesy car for us while they investigated further. After a few days, we had a call to say our car was fixed and that they'd sorted our MOT too. I'll never take my car anywhere else!
For many many years, I think likely getting on 20 or so, ALM has been my go to place for car and van repairs and MOTs. With traditional values of professionalism, knowledge by experience, honesty and value for money, Lister and his team consistently provide a service that all the franchised dealers and shiny glass palaces of the 21st century are simply unable to deliver. Accommodating in emergency time constraints, open and honest with diagnostic opinions, you can be sure that if you bring your vehicle here, you will not get ripped off! Any firm that has that kind of business model couldn't survive the length of time these guys have been around. In short: bring your motor here, you will not be disappointed.
Checked tyre pressure and refilled all tyres free of charge. Great service and very friendly
He did some welding on my car which resulted in damaging the airbag ecu along with three other airbag modules which cost me a fortune to replace.
Really shoddy work which even set the car on fire.
Also knackered a seat belt tensioner and blew a couple of indicator bulbs.
Years later this still upsets me.
Couldn’t recommend Lister and ALM any more, can always get me in quickly and are super helpful with very fair prices!
Had my car in for an mot on a jaguar. Very friendly and helpful definitely recommend
