Lovely atmosphere, super friendly staff, delicious food and very affordable too!!
Absolutely go here if you can. We got the small toasties and they were so filling, definitely enough for one person. We had ham and cheese, chicken and pineapple and the Lisbon special. Definitely recommend the juices they offer too, I tried pineapple and coconut for the first time and now I’m hooked, forgot to take a photo until I’d already drank it! There is only limited seating but they do takeaway too, the guy working there was really approachable and knowledgeable.
Services and staff were wonderful. Best toastie I've eaten. Coffee and pastry 10/10. Especially pastel denata. Will come back one day.
We were disappointed. The Tuna mayo option had the tiniest smidgeon of tuna. Extras for the toasties are 99p, even if just tomatoes. No vegan option. A can of coke which had £1 printed on the tin was £2.80! Small sandwiches came out one by one.
Toilet was not clean and toilet seat broken. No hand towel either. Sorry guys, could do better.
I was genuinely really excited to eat here when I saw there was a new toastie shop in town. They advertise as having the largest toasties in the country, but I can tell you that is absolutely false. I was expecting something to rival the amazing toasties you usually get at street food markets, but it was just two regular toasties (if you can call them that) on cheap white packet bread.
We ordered the breakfast toastie, which took 20 minutes to cook. The ingredients were horrible and cheap, the bread was uncooked on the inside and it was just mainly tomato and beans. There was no egg as advertised either. (Let the pictures speak for themselves)
I can safely say I will never go back, I’d advise you to save your money and go elsewhere. Rip off food, and definitely not a toastie.
I love a good toastie and good it was not.
Me and the husband ordered the Lisbon to share as it sounded like it would be the tastiest one. We paid £18.99 for half a meter.
We were very excited to try this place as it just opened up. To be honest we should of given it a miss.
The toastie itself is bigger than expected and could easily feed four people.
The toastie was rather bland. It had iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes and 3 different meats. The ham was very sad, thin and cheap tasting like the cheap ham you buy in a supermarket. The only thing I could taste really was the chorizo. There was also cheese in there but a very mild cheese that didn't add anything. The toastie was pretty dry and no sauce to be seen. I had one slice and didn't eat anymore as I was so disappointed.
I'll stick to making Toasties at home.
My husband and I came here and were very happy with our toasties, I got food envy though as he went for the Lisbon special and I played it safe with ham and cheese. Both toasties were hot, fresh and lovely. We will definitely return.
Really enjoy visiting, always made to feel welcome, my most recent visit I took my Son and he loved the interaction and his hot chocolate.. best he’s ever had.
I asked what type of milk they use as my Son is Type 1 diabetic and were more than happy to help.
Lovely, friendly place with tasty toasties, great cakes and coffee and well priced for the quality and location. It was the perfect spot for brunch with my eldest son before he caught his train to go back to Uni. My first visit and I will definitely be back.
