My husband, 1-year old, and I stopped at 1129 Spirits & Eatery for dinner on a Tuesday evening. I ordered a classic cheeseburger and my husband ordered the chicken and waffles. They did not have a kids menu so we ordered a side of fries for our kiddo. The food was pretty delicious. My husband said it was the best chicken and waffles he’s ever had. That’s a huge statement coming from him. My cheeseburger was super fresh and delicious, and the side of fries were extremely filling. Alcoholic beverages my husband ordered old elk bourbon and I ordered a lavender lemon drop (AMAZING by the way).
Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable. They also put on a trivia game with 10 questions. They have multiple rounds but we couldn’t stay because we have a young baby. But the winner can win a $15 gift card. Not bad!
The tables and floors were interesting, gave off a retro vibe along with the mood lighting when trivia started.
The cost is pricey, but so is a lot of restaurants in Pueblo (unfortunately). Our total for everything we ordered came out to $65 + a tip. Like I said pricey. I think the burger alone was like $17 (just wow), it was good though.
If you’re looking for a neat experience and good food, I recommend 1129 Spirits & Eatery.
For starters my friends and I came in and were told there was going to be a 10 minute wait, but we could sit at any table (there were so many available).
We ended up waiting over 20 minutes before anyone got to our table, we received menus before our waters. I ordered the black bean empanadas and they were decent. My waffle sandwich was okay, my onions rings were not hot but tasted pretty good and the tomato bisque that came with my order was exceptional. My friend order the blue cheese burger and enjoyed it. My other friend ordered the Philly and just stated it needed more seasoning. Presentation wise, the food looks amazing. I think next time I’ll try their burgers. Our server was kind and would appreciate us for being patient, but it would take minute to get things like water refills, silver ware, our bill.
From my experience eating here the food is decent and it seems like they may be short staffed or figuring out their flow here, so expect a wait.
The food awesome I personally suggest ordering the BYO waffle grilled cheese. While my mom liked the 1126 burger with sweet potato fries. We had a great server that came around to ask us if we needed refills and how the food was. They have a great patio eating area right next to the river they play some outside music as well.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere while dining at 1129. It was next to the river walk and there was a one man band for entertainment. The food is a typical bar style, and our drinks tasted good. The staff are polite and on the spot.
My daughter and two grandsons had gone to Pueblo on Sunday 04/28 to the air museum and decided to take a stroll on the Riverwalk.
We decided to stop for a little food and cold drinks.
We stopped at 1129 as it wasn’t that busy, only two women at the bar and a couple tables outside.
I went to freshen up while we were seated, came to our table a few minutes later and we still had not been given menus. We waited a few more minutes before I went to ask for menus. The gentleman said he was coming right out.
We should have left.
Not impressed with service or food. At one point it seemed the staff appeared to be arguing.
Decor is nice, but this kind of ruined our Sunday outing.
I've eaten there for lunch and dinner. Along the Pueblo Riverwalk, the ambiance is lovely. Service is friendly and fairly fast. The food is fresh and tasty.
Went here on a Friday evening and the location and atmosphere outside was great. Loved the table right next to the sidewalk and water front. Beautiful and relaxing. Food and drinks were good. The starters Empanadas with green Chile and Fries with Green Chile were enough for two hungry people. I liked the dips too, Empanadas could have been a bit more fresh. But overall a great location and restaurant. Thanks
So glad we found this gem! Came here on date night, and we loved it! The food was unique and *so* delicious, the staff was really sweet and hospitable, the prices were reasonable, everything was super clean, and the atmosphere right outside is so romantic. It wasn't super busy at 7:30, and we were seated right away. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be back!
