I recently visited this place for a takeaway dinner with my friends. The biggest issue that I was faced with is their only cash policy which I was told of after I had done my order. I had to go back all the way to a cash point and get money from there. Secondly, in terms of the taste and flavour, I wasn't really fond of it. The taste was a little bland for me and the rice was extremely dry. I could not even finish it because of its dryness. The chicken and beef were still cold. I wasn't really happy with the food.
One of the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had , £20 for £5 worth of meal. Fried rice was bland , hardly any meat in there. Sweet and sour chicken was way too sweet , almost like drinking syrup.
We used to order from The Yummy House years ago but hadn't for years (why?). We had a takeaway tonight and it was amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection - piping hot, tasty and so satisfyingly yummy! And the delivery girl arrived 6 pm on the dot (the time we chose). The Yummy House is still as good today as it always was! I just wished I'd tipped, I had paid by card so totally forgot when at the door (next time!). We all enjoyed every mouthful! Best Chinese around in Exeter.
We ordered again tonight - October 16th - for my sons birthday . We had a large order for 4. Again, simply fantastic. Everything was delicious, hot and cooked to perfection. The duck is phenomenal! We have loads left over for tomorrow (eyes bigger than bellies). I originally booked online (with Justeat) for 19:00 but then we realised we would like it sooner. One quick call to Yummy House and order changed to 18:00. Exactly 18:00 on the dot a very happy smiley man arrived holding a big box! Always prompt and courteous delivery. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the dishes had. We also made sure we had cash for a tip this time! Thank you again Yummy House :)
This people are insane someone working inside as a delivery driver, He reversed and hit my car she said he works here so you don't worry will be okay he will pay and fix it and after I come back . She said no he doesn't work here. I don't know him. a photo for the lady when she picked the food from his car and give it to the other driver. :[
My favourite takeaway in Exeter. The aromatic duck is my go to and always hits the spot.
They are always very pleasent when ordering in store or on the phone. Also the young lad that helps out is one of the most polite kids I've ever heard.

Just ate the most yummy & delicious take-away from Yummy House!! It was soooo good! fresh veg in black bean sauce..wow! Sweet and sour pork balls..crispy, soft and wonderful! What a delish Friday night treat!!!
Worst food. Asked for egg in my Singapore noddles twice. Then they gave me noddles which was nit Singapore, more off a special chow main with no eggs or curry powder. Really bad food. Pancake rolls I just threw in the bed. Terrible
