Tried this baker for the first time and have to say i thought it was aweful. I bought a hot macaroni pie which was squashed and also looked so anemic that it didn’t look cooked although I guess it was( fine food is also in how it looks before you eat), I also bought a chicken a coleslaw croissant which I hoped would be better , however was worse, very dry chicken and the coleslaw if you could call it that was a few strands of shredded carrot, lastly the iced yum yum looked good, however all it tasted of was cooking oil, couldn’t even manage half of it , and tbh I felt not good after it. Maybe it was a bad day as a lot of reviews seem to be good, but I can by far not agree with any of them, sorry guys ????♂️
Great butteries and deep filled apple pie, it's all I've had so far as I don't live locally...oh! and the strawberry tarts...all fantastic.
Bought some custard slices and yum yums today and they were not good. The custard slices had far too much pastry and were very dry. The yum yums were truly awful, they were burnt, extremely greasy and ended up in the bin!!

Been here a couple of times for lunch the food is fantastic and massive portions for what you pay. Staff are always ready to help and are polite. Selection of cakes and other items available and these are also brilliant.
Love Ythan Bakery. Good food at very reasonable prices. Staff always happy to make a filled roll or sandwich if you wabt something.

One or two of the young girl staff onna Saturday morning are VERY dopey!! The older ladies are good though!
A rare wee bakery with lovely staff, good prices and most importantly an absolutely delicious selection of baked goods. The only downside is that you must pay by cash which feels a little outmoded these days but fortunately there's a cash machine close by. Highly recommend!
