Situated in the old tourist info centre and a converted barn, a hidden gem and only found it by chance as not signposted on the main road.
Thought the place was closed from the outside.
A great place to eat and has a large garden area with giant slide, table and chairs, kids play area and garden sculptures.
Outside seating as well as indoor.

Stumbled across this place when looking for dog friendly food that was open in the off season. This place was good and surprising that it was even open considering the pretty small community it must serve, but there were a fair few visitors (mostly with kids).
The hot chocolate was nice and hit the spot on a cold day. The food was also pretty nice, I would say comparable to most pubs.
Definitely recommend if you’re looking for somewhere open in the area that does decent food, drink and dog friendly.

First time here, but not the last that fo sure. Amazing place with parking. Food is delicious, portion is enormous and you will be surprised about the price.
Stunning cafe just outside Bala, with an enormous outdoors area for kids to run around and play. Lovely food, splendid coffee, and spectacular views. Genuinely excellent place to stop.
An interesting concept - an activity centre in the daytime that looks fabulous for families with young children, and later in the day they welcome customers for an evening meal.
We went for an evening meal at 6:30 on a Friday - a little early perhaps but we got our choice of table by the window. A beautiful vista. The restaurant filled up at 7. The service was quick and although the starter arrived at the same time as the main courses (perhaps we hadn’t been explicit enough that we wanted the light bite as a starter), the food was really very good. The chicken curry looked beautiful and tasted delicious - very flavoursome and not too ‘heavy’. £38 for 1 starter, 3 main courses, 1 (large) glass of wine, 1 beer and 1 coke. Very reasonable!!
Lovely place with great staff and a fair selection of drinks/food whilst keeping the feel of an independent business. Reasonably priced.
Lots of outside space for the kids to run about in without getting in the way.
