A very comfortable and nicely furnished hotel. The room was spacious with a large bed, good quality linen and towels, as well as bath robes.
The breakfast menu was varied, containing the usual full meal, but also tasty options of
pancakes or salmon.
Ideal location in the centre of Dolgellau.
One of the most beautiful b&b I've ever stayed in. Stunning building in perfect location, walking distance everywhere. No car park, but there's long stay cat park in about 4 minutes walk. The owner of the hotel is going above and beyond for his guests. Room was ready early so we could check in few hours before checking in time, more time to use for exploring. Beautiful, spacious room. Literally spotless. Attention to details was on point. We have had everything we needed in our room including bathrobes and water bottles. Easy access to the room and room keys, great communication with the owner. Breakfast in the morning was beautiful. So many positions to choose from. Perfectly cooked with high quality products. Can't praise enough. Top class
We were in a room downstairs. It was a basic double room with en suite. It was centrally located within easy walking distance to pubs and restaurants. As British beds go, this was more comfortable than most. They seem to be very hard in general, but I was able to get a good night's sleep on this. Room was clean but small, and tended to get stuffy at night (no a/c). Toiletries and hair dryer provided. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful served by Alwyn, who was a great source of local information and history. Notably, because of poor data access while we were traveling and the fact that we made our reservation here at the very last minute, we didn't get messages from the booking service, and since we arrived on a Sunday, we were worried that we would have trouble getting in to our lodging. The owner of Y Meirionnydd worked very hard to contact us, and was immediately available when we arrived and called the local number provided. We felt very well taken care of.
Wonderful hosts, homely comfortable accommodation. Breakfast a experience not to be missed. Priced right. Would definitely stay there again. |Rooms en suite , superior bedding pillows and comforters. Free why fi
Great little find and even managed to get a parking spot outside that was free from 6pm till 10am which worked really well.|The host was so welcolming, nothing was a problem. |Would highly recommend to friends and family.|Dolgellau is a lovely town to spend a weekend at with so many pubs around.
This was our first visit to Y Meirionnydd and we had a wonderful stay. The hosts were very welcoming and our room (Cadair Idris) was very comfortable. The breakfasts were cooked to order and delicous with a good and varied menu. Fresh fruit salad was available each morning, which was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. It was a great base to explore South Snowdonia. We enjoyed the good choice of pubs, restaurants and shops in the village.
We booked this last minute and had impeccable customer service from the start. Marc explained where we could find food in the evening and how to get the key when we arrived.
The room was perfect - large, comfy bed, lovely bathroom and a beautiful view to Cadair Idris. The breakfast was a lovely surprise - fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals and a cooked breakfast of your choice. It was delicious.
We enjoyed every second of our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We hope to come back again soon!
The hotel has a lot of character and was extremely clean and well presented.
Breakfast was amazing ranging from cereals, fresh fruit salad, yogurts, a wide range of cooked (my favourite was the smoked salmon and scrambled egg.
The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
We will be back.
