Lovely old village well worth a visit good for walking around would recommend it for a little day out.
Lovely place to walk the dog and take in some history in beautiful tranquil surroundings
Beautiful day and nice walks along streams up hill's..shame the visitors
Information barn has been closed down
So no maps or information there, only online.
All dog friendly but be aware live stock in some of the fields .
Beautiful place. Very quiet and peaceful. Also has picnic tables and there are public toilets. Loved it
Lovely little spot to walk - quite a lot to see across a short distance. There are two car parks, one near the village (500m) and one near the panopticon (approx 50m). The village is cute and quite scenic, and the ruins of wycoller hall are in the village. The panopticon is a short but steep walk from the village. It was a nice way to spend a morning with our 18 month old. The cafe and info centre is closed and probably will be for a while as there are structural roof issues with the barn housing it. There are no other shops in the village as it's more of a hamlet.
Large free car park. Lots of routes to go depending on your ability. Gentle walk we had, but tons on bugs, but it is the country. Dog friendly and a lot of off the lead opportunity. Public toilets on route, lovely brook the most of the way. Can make it 1.5 hours or 3 depends on the way you choose.
Went for a 8.9 mile walk up to the trig point on the moors its an excellent route takes about 3 and a bit hours, it can be found by searching walking englishman wycoller walk... highly recommend. Plus fearnsdean Manor was based off this building. Cool as.
What a lovely place to walk round, historic notice board's too, with lot's of information within the ruins, bridges, beautiful little streams. There are restrooms ????, & in the better weather's lot's of picnic tables situated around the grounds. We saw lot's of wildlife too, great to walk round with the dog too, £1 car parking machine on site, but out of use, so taken only 5mins to call ???? & register vehicle.
