Yep they are called BRAKE'n'STOP now, I went a few months ago to get them to check if I should do my tyres as I thought the back were getting a bit close.
Anyway surprise, surprise, the person that was working there, maybe the owner, checked the wheels and said no they are all dangerously low, all four need to be replaced now, he said he really shouldn’t let me go with how low they are, next thing he said was let’s get four tyres ordered haha.
I knew this was all rubbish but I think he saw a highish value car and saw pound signs, so I went along with it.
Anyway he was going through all of the tyres, I said that I wanted the original premium manufacturers again, then he was asking what prices I had been quoted, I said just tell me what you can do it for and we will go from there, he came back with close to double the cost of what I know they go for.
I said I’ll go and get a few other prices and come back to him, next he’s saying he could probably get it a bit cheaper etc, I just said I’ve got to go but will be in touch.
Anyway off to National Tyres to see what they thought, they checked them all over and said that the tyres definitely weren’t “dangerously low”, the front had plenty of tread and the back would need doing in about 3k-5k miles depending on how it’s driven and definitely before ice is on the roads.
National didn’t try to screw me over, they were completely truthful, unlike this company, I just can’t stand businesses like this that lie from the get go when there isn’t an issue.

Went in for tracking, done wrong for the first time gave him one more chance asked him to do service the week after and he can fix the tracking at the same time, spoke with the guy and had a booking for 12 o clock on monday the next week, came in on monday as we spoke at 11:50am and surprise he asked me to come in the afternoon as he is busy having a caravan in at that time in, cams back later droped the car had it serviced and tracking again and surprise ,done wrong again, did it again for the 3rd time and same wrong again start blaning it on tyres and something else then asked me to drive it for a few days as this could improve after driving???? and also did not provide invoice for the the work labour(I’ll make sure this is getting reported as not giving invoice its quiet illegal)

Life savers. Had rear brakes go on a long drive down to Shropshire for essential patient care. After a phone call to Brake'n'stop (5pm Friday)these guys got my car in at 0 notice the next morning and were able to get me safely back on the road. All be it a bit lighter in the wallet but did have rear discs, pads, caliper and 2 tyres changed (and at reasonable cost). Martin and his team very straight talking, tells you how it is, likes Chocolate Hob Knobs and knows his stuff.
If you need brakes, if you need tyres, if your in trouble there's only one team to call.........the Brake'n'stop team. Top lads. Thank you so much.
