THE BEST melt in your mouth curry goat ever!…and I don’t even typically like goat dishes! This humble little haven right in the middle of Burnham high street is an absolute gem. The staff are friendly and efficient! Most importantly, the food is delicious. I would go to Burnham again just for the curry goat and next time, I’d want to try everything else in the menu! ! Did I mention their curry goat is the best?! Go and try it already!!!
Absolutely fantastic takeaway - they do delicious food at a reasonable price, and I don’t think we’ve had a single item from Woodies that we haven’t enjoyed. The festival dumplings and jerk chicken (with extra sauce, naturally!) are probably my favourite items but the goat curry and patties are also absolutely superb. My partner loves the jerk sauce fries special - £11 for a generous portion of seasoned chips, cucumber, salad and delicious, tender jerk chicken is such a bargain! The staff are also absolutely lovely and we’ll definitely keep coming back whenever we’re in Burnham.

Went there today. Husband loved the authentic chicken jerky and the vegetarian patty was lovely. The people we were with really enjoyed it too. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Would definitely recommend.
Having just moved to Burnham, i was really stoked to see, smell and taste a little bit of Jamaican cuisine right here in this little Riverside town.
The food is legit, the staff are all very friendly and to have your name remembered in this day and age is quite special indeed!

Went today with my family of 4. Tried the Jerk chicken, Mac & cheese, coleslaw, cheesy beef, lamb, and veggie patty and the festivals (small sweet doughnuts). Service was amazing and food was all served hot and fresh, at really good value for money. Cost us just over £20 for lunch for 4 people. Could not fault it. Outdoor and indoor seating. Would definitely recommend this new gem to the town.
What a lovely little place! Warm welcome and nice atmosphere. Staff are all helpful and friendly. Ordered 2 Mels Lemonade (homemade), 2 goat curries along with rice and peas, cheesy beef pattie, lamb pattie and jerk wings. The goat was stewed to perfection literally falls apart in your mouth and packed full of flavour, rice and peas also well flavoured and moist, the patties again are full of flavour very moreish and finally the jerk wings were so succulent I could have eaten a whole load of them! Not forgetting Mels Lemonade unbelievably refreshing! Seriously this place and their food shouldn't be missed. Can't wait to go back again! Thank you for a lovely dinner
Omg, the food!!!! The chips were actually crunchy! The curry goat was amazingggggg! & the owner is absolutely lovely! Definitely will be visiting again!
Visited Burnham On Crouch today and waited for this place to open as we fancied some chips for lunch and it had good reviews, the staff were so welcoming and friendly and was told they would be worth the wait, and OMG they were so right!!
LOADS of chips served traditionally in a cone, got to say probably the best chips I’ve ever had, and went back to let them know which they greatly appreciated so will be returning very soon to try some of the other food options next time we are in the area.
