Lived in and around Wood End since 86, I'm only just now beginning to appreciate how good the club is, so many friends and friendly people here. Great nights out, enjoying musical events, drinks are well priced and food, what I've had (Bonfire night)was great.
Looking forward to many more happy nights.
Thanks to all involved, and our friends who cared enough to invite us.
they refused to help my grandmother, we were in the back garden and they didn’t let her cut through the kitchen to the ladies toilet, staff were rude and one refused to fetch her a drink even when she said she’d pay then double. in conclusion, Rude, inaccessible and ignorant.
Great atmosphere. Watched the Sirens here. A band I follow. The manager was very welcoming and friendly. Bar staff were lovely too. Had a great night.
Local village club of my childhood...went for 60th birthday party which was catered for by club hostess very handsomely. Samantha Lloyd was the singer ...also great entertainment. Lovely gathering.
Decent little club for Bobby's 4oth D.F
The venue is clean and tidy, it's a typical working mens club with a bar and activities decent prices has a good sized function room and is well located in the community. Parking is opposite the venue and a bus stop is outside the gates to the club. The club is well managed and offers ample toilet facilities including accessible toilets. The hours are quite extensive and the locals use this club in significant numbers. Not sure about membership or guest options but it would be worth looking into if your wanting some social networking or to hire out a gòd sized function room.
Friendly service and staff. Nice regulars. Good beer at good Prices. Great function room. What's not to like?
This club is where The Phoenix Club hold their weekly meets ... which is for people with alzheimer's disease and their carers. Only down side is the fact the kitchen needs a good refurb. Lots of functions are held here!
