Best KPortal Reviews
The food was subpar. I wouldn't recommend going honestly. It's just not worth the time or money knowing there are many other options in the area. Huge language barrier with the server and it led to the wrong items being brought to the table. The egg rolls were very greasy and the orange chicken was dry. The bathroom and back room was dirty. The previous business (Green Lilly) kept the place more clean.
Knowing they are a new business, maybe these things will be "fixed" soon?
We can't believe how good this food is, and the people are wonderful. My wife, daughter, and I have gone several times, and we all agree it's some of the best Asian food we've ever had. That includes restaurants in Southern California. All the dishes are fresh, delicious, and represent multiple Asian cuisines, including Thai, Cambodian, Chinese, and Laotian. We all highly recommended this restaurant. Located in Old Town Eureka.
When with 5 friends today. They brought out everyone's food one by one, but didn't bring mine. When we got the waiter's attention, he said he forgot to put my order in. Also missed someone's Boba drink.
Pretty disappointing. Don't plan on coming back.
The shrimp chow mein is the best you are going to get in this area! They definitely give a good portion. They were out of the orange chicken, but my boyfriend said the lemon chicken was pretty good! The person who took my order was really nice and the food was HOT as it came out. And yes, someone mentioned the egg rolls were a little greasy, but what should you expect when they are fried?? We had the vegetarian ones, and they were great.
Would very much recommend a visit.
My friend and I had Chow mein. It was averagely good. The service was good and the food came reasonably fast.
Food was very good and flavourful. Loved the shrimp chowmain, had lots of garlic and seasoning and not dry. Kungpow chicken very different and tasty. They had ran out of boba when arrived but by the time we ate a new batch was ready. Got one on the way out. Cashier recommend honeydew. Was fantastic!
Cute little asian eatery with yummy biba tea. My fav is the Taro. I've gone here quite a few times either dining in or taking out. For the most part the food is always delicious. I've had maybe one dish I didn't like but I think that's just my own taste and not anything done wrong by the restaurant itself. The last time I went though my boba tea wasn't very good. I think they added all water to the tea instead of adding a lil milk like they normally do and I honestly could hardly drink it. So that was a bummer, but not anything to stop me from coming back because every other time my boba tea has been delicious. I think it was just an off day. And we all have them. Remember to give people grace. I LOVE the Mongolian beef, it's always delicious and same for their fried rice and veggie spring rolls. Not super fancy so don't expect that, but a cute little place to go for lunch or dinner. I do recommend others to give it a try!
Went here with a friend last night and posting a review for people looking to try the place! :3
Notes:
-good prices, one of the cheaper Boba spots/food spots in town.
-Excellent Boba, I had the honeydew and ordered another bc I enjoyed it so much
-food: you get what you paid for, nothing spectacular but it was okay. I wouldn't recommend the chicken as the breading is too thick and it's a little dry, but the egg rolls and wonton soup were solid
-service! Extremely sweet, I see a lot of people complaining about language barrier and given we live in a cultural hub/very diverse area, there are going to be people from all over the world who may not be as proficient in English. Patience is key and it was really obvious the server we have was trying her best, I could understand her just fine, she checked on us multiple times, and got our order and food quickly.
We sat by the window, best spot to people watch. :)
