Lovely little cafe.. BEST home made carrot cake ever!! We had to takeaway a chocolate orange and Victoria sponge (look amazing, yet to taste). Friendly couple own and run the cafe/shop. Worthy of venture out and a stop!
Lovely welcome, delicious soup, the most amazing cakes (we bought three slices to take home!) and a great chat with the owner who even gave our dogs free treats! There is also a fantastic selection of antiques and other curiosities and gifts to enjoy. Definitely put this cafe on your list of places to visit!
The Wobbly Dog was a real highlight of our trip around the Islands- so much so we went twice, spending nearly 3 hours there the first time! Mark bakes THE best cakes I have have eaten, Sheila made a mean spicy carrot & lentil soup and Amy is an attentive & funny member of the team who also makes beautiful crafts for sale in the shop... as well as lovely food, including cooked breakfasts, here the coffee is exceptionally good. A lovely little book shelf to peruse and locally made crafts- we bought quite a few 'gifts for home' here. Honestly can't rate this place enough!! A pleasure to meet Archie- the wobbly dog!- too!!
Absolutely loved it here! Felt so welcomed and had the tastiest lunch! There is so many amazing things to look at too, will be back again! Highly recommend!
Stumbled upon this on trip advisor and what a wee Gem it is! So unique, lovely home made soup and one of the best cheese cakes I have tasted! Never met a nicer couple who own this, would 100% go back! Thank you ????
An excellent cafe, fascinating interior and good range of food (the soup was brilliant). Dog friendly - which is quite important for us.
Very interesting range of potential gifts to take home - I especially liked the garden ornaments based on the Lewis Chess Men cast in Uig from Uig sand - very appropriate. The significance of the 4th pic??? Look carefully at the seat that at first glance appears to be empty....
Found this lovely place while we were touring the Butt of Lewis! Wonderful home made cakes - the biscoff cheesecake was absolutely amazing, love the carrot cake too (the frosting on that carrot cake is the best I have ever had! Very light cream cheese frosting). We also had a hearty bowl of spiced carrot and lentil soup, and bacon &egg rolls. Most importantly, the owners are very lovely and warm. They made us feel at home! Highly recommended! Ps they are dog friendly!
Had the most fabulous coffee and cake stop here at the Wobbly Dog on Saturday, before a really arduous trip over the heritage trail from Port of Ness to Tolsta that we had mistakenly thought was ok for bikes - wrong! We had beautiful coffee and walnut, lemon drizzle, and victoria sponge cake along with great coffee from cafetieres, and took some lemon and ginger flapjacks to go. Those flapjacks probably saved our lives (well, not literally but whilst pushing our baggage laden bikes over the boggy moors, it definitely felt like it!!), they were gorgeous and definitely helped us get through! A great little find and would heartily recommend!
