Sonia its Gary from Harrap Motors I can see Dianne left you an email to reply to which you haven't. This is no surprise as this is the second review you have left the first being parking which you never got your facts right.
When I read this post like Dianne I was well I can't put the words on a review.
Sonia before you decided to put this review did you check the facts to get the truth. I can answer that for you "no ".
I have spoken to Mrs Wakelin the lady concerned on Monday and I could see how shaken up she was. Mrs Wakelin described the persons and told me what was said etc. These people were not employees of the garage Mrs Wakelin has confirmed this. One person involved were carrying out repairs to a brick wall this gentlemen was the person who had parked halfway in the bay. The second person was a painter and decorator he also insulted Mrs Wakelin the third person was under a bonnet but not an employee of Harrap Motors Mrs Wakelin knows this person.
If any of my staff had been a party to this they would of been dismissed.
Sonia as per your comment coming to book your car in we both know that is not true. In future before you put a review to any business get your facts right.
The right thing would be to apologise publicly and remove this review.
I personally sent Mrs Wakelin some flowers as no one should be made to feel how she did.
Do not use WJ Harrap Motors.
Dropped my car in for a diagnostics, they told me to pick it up in the afternoon and wouldn't provide me with the diagnostics results. They then called MotorEasy two days later and then said I told them that I was going to collect my car and take it to another garage.
Completely agree with the review below. The guys at this garage are extremely friendly and honest, which is very rare now a days! Took my car here for a second opinion after feeling suspicious about the works an initial garage said it needed, and felt I was given a truthful and more reasonable report from Harrap. Will definitely use this garage again in the future!
UPDATE: Gary has since gone to a lot of trouble to contact me to explain and offer to make amends. I am appreciative of the apology.
Bad experience with this garage, used to use them when it was the previous owners and it was always excellent. Since it changed hands though I wouldn't recommend them. I had the most expensive MOT and service bill I've ever had here. They changed my wiper blades for me as part of the service (I normally change them myself and they didn't really need doing). The ones they put on were rubbish from the start, smeary, kept falling off. When I rang them to report it, the guy I spoke to just laughed and said to bring it in and they'd replace them for free. I told him I'd be in the area this Saturday and he confirmed they'd be open. I just drove up from Brighton, left early to make sure I made it on time and they're closed.
Went to get a few items repaired on my car the owner got the hump as my car was slightly blocking his entrance he then couldn’t be bothered to take a look at the car and says you have to book it in and didn’t have time to look at it. This guy seriously needs a course in customer care and how to deal with customers instead of throwing his toys out the pram.
minor, contentious damage on my car following repair. Gary could have legitimately contested the cause but without hesitation had the bumper resprayed turning a possible negative into a positive. Thank you. You have my loyalty, confidence and custom.
Was walking by on Wednesday when I witnessed the most shocking behaviour to a lady who has walking issues insulting her, saying we pay for you, and taking the mick on how she walks as she asked them to move out of a disable spot so she could park, I was walking to book in a service for my car but after this I went esle where, how can they speak to people like this especially people that seem to live on the same street, shocking behavior especially as it seemed to be a clients car parked in a disable bay that had no disabled badge.
