One star is too much. My daughter attended this clinic via a 111 referral. Was told by the dentist she would be treated, to then have the dentist change her mind and say it was a consultation only. Then an x-ray was done, where she was told there was absolutely nothing wrong with her, so she visited another dentist the next day and is now on a course of strong antibiotics for an abcess which was completely overlooked by this clinic! So we made a complaint via email and the dentist in question has lied through her teeth, pardon the pun, about the conversation she had with my daughter! Would not recommend this surgery, this dentist needs retraining, both in dentistry and people skills!
Honestly wouldn't even give it a 1 after today. Last week i called for an emergency appointment as i was in a lot of pain and they got me in but my app was cancelled twice on their behalf 1st time i was told " yes sorry the dentist decided he isn't working on a thursday anymore " .. very professional , second time was to move the time by half and hour which was no good to me so i arranged another day. Was given antibiotics to treat the infection and was told by the dentist to arrange an appointment with my dentist ( she was just seeing me as it's an emergency appointment )then after i had finished the treatment to get my tooth sorted . As i got to the pharmacy to hand in my prescription they said you need to go back they haven't stamped it so had to got back and the lady on reception just looked like she didn't want to be there i found all the staff looked miserable not one smile between them! anyway i rang today to get an appointment to get my tooth sorted and have been told they can no longer offer me treatment anymore due to two missed appointments over 2 years ... why wasn't i told this in my last appointment? why wasn't i given notice? they just drop patients like that nowadays ? just making up the rules as they go ...shocking and so unprofessional. If you want a friendly companionate dentist avoid this place at all cost.
One star is too many but unfortunately I cannot give zero stars. I first used this dental practice in 2018 as an NHS patient and have since used the practice as a private patient. I called up to book an appointment last week to be told I have a block on my name due to 'the amount of missed appointments' I asked how many missed appointments are on my file and there was only 1 missed appointment which I don't recall making and didn't receive reminders for. The receptionist advised I could call back the following day to speak to the practice manager as she is the only one who is able to remove the block. When I called back the practice manager refused to remove my block and claimed the NHS have implemented the block. The practice manager was rude and unhelpful. I asked if I could still attend as a private patient and was told no, I also offered to pay for the missed appointment and was told no again. I am disgusted with the level of care, I had really needed an appointment due to bleeding gums however this practice simply does not care. I am highly disappointed and recommend staff receive some customer service training.
I started going to this dentist after a bad experience at another dentist in Walsall. Every single time I go I am 100% satisfied with the service. The reception staff are lovely, the dental nurse is great and my dentist Dr Duggal is amazing. Always reassuring and I’m never nervous about going to see her. All my family have moved to this surgery and all say the same thing. My sons who had sensory issues had never, ever complained about coming here, Dr Duggal will explain and take extra care when dealing with him. Very very happy with this Dentist, deserving of the 5 stars.
I moved from Southend on Sea to Birmingham 7 years ago and ended up being seen in this dentist. At first upon each visit, a partial clean was undertaken, but minimal, yet over the years, this became less and less common to the point whereby in the last few years, virtually no cleaning or plaque removal was done at all. It was a steady decline in dental healthcare over a 7 year period. A stark contrast to the service I received in Southend. What was also quite poor was that at the last visit, the dentist needed to do a filling and pushed the needle in without delay. Just pushed it in all in one go. Then without waiting for the anaesthetic to take effect, just started drilling straight. Yes it was quite painful indeed.
Perhaps the dentist just didn’t like me as I see from other reviews that these are quite positive. Anyway, based upon my experience, I would not recommend him and nor would I go back. Am done with them now. Thank goodness.
As someone terrified of the dentist I was nervous as hell this morning attending an emergency appointment due to a broken tooth. But everyone was lovely and amazing. Took payment upfront so I knew what I was paying, took me in straight away too despite being early.
Dentist was reassuring and lovely, explained the process and the feelings sensations I would feel and have gave me great care. I've put off having my tooth removed for long enough til the pain was unbearable, but I'm glad I came here now. The staff were wonderful
Visited this practice on the 5th August as was having tooth pain and 111 got me an appointment. This practice is amazing.They make you feel at ease even when I hate going to the dentist Even the receptionist was so lovely. Would love to move to this dentst but live too far away .Great service.
Went here for an emergency appointment today. They are the best dentist I have ever encountered. Fantastic staff. Thank you
