Best sandwich and cake shop in Portsmouth! Winnie’s has such a variety of options and the staff members are always so polite and happy to help. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
Best sandwich shop in town! Can’t beat their rolls. They’re freshly made and always have loads of filling. Cakes are lovely too and the staff super friendly!
Great bakery, excellent products. I have had your sausage rolls for a couple of years and always the best, please don’t change your recipe, ( like some well known others have , begins with G ) Well done Winnies’s
Been coming here for awhile does yummy cakes , and baguettes sandwich toastie etc I love ice ring doughnut with cream yummy definitely recommended 100 per cent . and really lovely people ????
They make the best/ most Delicious and freshest sandwiches I have personally had in Portsmouth. I would say it is like subway but better.
This is because
1. The bread is made fresh everyday and the are baguettes with different flavors ie. Cheese, herbs, plain etc
2. The stuff to put inside of your bread there is a lot of options for it like chicken tikka, buffalo beef, tuna sweetcorn or customise from scratch
3. The fresh vegetables you can choice to put
4. You sandwich is ready after that the shop also make the best bakery items. Everything from the bakery is freshly made for that day and it is really good maybe as good or better then co-op bakery
5. Your sandwich is done, you choose something from the bakery, (drinks if you want) and finally you pay
I took the chicken, ham, tomato, onion, lettuce, a bit mayo and olives with herbs and cheese bread. It cost me £3.40 for that. And the bakery £2.40 because I took a few things I wanted to try that looked really good like Cornish pasty (inside it was beef, potato cubes and more) and croissant.
So the total I payed was £5.80
I come here once a week as a treat, their baguettes are sooo good, decent amount of filling and a good size!! Their caramel donuts, lemon muffins and bacon and cheese pastries are also a particular favourite of mine, its just a struggle to not buy it all in one go... But sometimes I do, and I don't even feel sorry!
They are also so lovely about letting my Cavachon dog in while I wait for my order too, which is so helpful as I can take her for a walk and pick up some lunch!
Already looking forward to my visit tomorrow!
