Best chip shop in town, best home made coleslaw I’ve ever had. Staff are so friendly and all there food is fresh and decent prices
Chips were decent, solid 7/10. Could do with being a little crisper for my tastes and the menu felt limited, but hey, it's a chip shop, it doesn't need to be long.
Service... Erm... Unpleasant. The woman serving had a major chip on her shoulder. Never been made to feel like paying with a card was such a crime. Went on a short spiel about how it's not COVID anymore but everyone refuses to go back to using cash. Cue grumbling about the transaction fee on using the card machine. If it is so onerous, work it into the pricing. And how it might be convenient for us but it's not for them. Anyway 3 attempts at making polite conversation later, that instantly created an awkward atmosphere that went unbroken until we left
The pricing is middle of the road for a chip shop. Nothing to complain about though.
Nice enough food, won't be going back because of the curmudgeonly server. Both Main Street Fisheries and Lee's offer good chips without the guilt and awkwardness.

Went out of my way to drive to this chippy after seeing great reviews. Complete opposite!!!
Fish and chips in a puddle of grease, couldnt even eat much of it.
Chips not cooked enough to the point where I had to question if I ordered fish and mash.
Really disappointed, maybe I caught it on a bad day, but would not recommend at all. I only hope this ends up being the worst fish and chips I ever have.
Not one to leave a bad review but this was very much needed.
Would not be acceptable in Yorkshire! Fish batter not cooked through, all soggy and mushy. Chips not much better, like little bags of mash. How it has such a high rating is bewildering.
I love a chippy and this was one of the best and cheapest I've had - prices are very reasonable. Great food and lovely owners! Called in just before closing time (1pm) and they gave us extra sausage and chips as they would of been wasted. Everything cooked from fresh - nothing reheated. Very nice, we'll definitely be back! Thank you

Just called in for fish n chips, lovely and fresh
We were staying at Keswick Reach and fancied fish and chips, a quick Google search took us to Windmill Fisheries.
The owners treated us as though we were there every day, so friendly and helpful. The food was definitely value for money, if we find ourselves coming here again we will definitely return.
