Ordered a delivery which was for 6:45pm. After two enquires was told the order would be delivered for 8pm. The reason for the extremely late delivery was because the shop was 'unexpectedly busy'....on a Good Friday, now who would have imagined that?! A fish and chip shop finding it 'unexpectedly busy' on a Good Friday...unbelievable!!
Now when the food eventually arrived you would have thought after nearly two hours late at least the order would have been correct at least; oh no....items were missing and other items replaced. Terrible!
I did give the takeaway opportunity to offer some refund but they didn't want to know whatsoever, so be it, after spending over £40 here is my review. Remember I did give them opportunity to put it right but they didn't want to know.
The fish was extremely greasy, far too greasy to enjoy. No batter as such just a soggy mess, definitely undercooked. Chips were passable, just, sausage very average, pattie was ok, gravy not too bad, curry sauce a very strange texture unlike any curry sauce I've had before and was not to my taste, peas....well, there were no peas, two portions totally missing, beans were not consumed because did not order or want any beans!
Overall very poor service and poor food quality.
They will not be bothered about this review in the same way they was not bothered about making things right.
A fish and chip shop who are genuinely extremely surprised at how busy their chip shop was on a Good Friday, come on, not rocket science!

Always get chippy here, went today with my daughter and niece but unfortunately it was shut. The manager said I’ll still give you some food free of charge for the girls, he popped on some chips sausages, patty and gravy on 2 plates for them. Was shocked how kind and generous he was! Had two happy girls with their food.
Absolutely fantastic. Rang up at 3.45 . Shop opened at 4PM. We were sat eating at 4.10 PM. Best chippy in hull. From now on this our friday treat. Fantastic fish n chips and of course me scraps.
We ordered a delivery at 2.25 to be delivered at 6pm . They finally arrived at 7pm! I rang at 6.15 to see where they where and was told they would be 10 minutes. I rang again at 6.30 and was told they would be another 10 minutes. At 7.45 I was told the driver was just setting off with them. When order arrived it was cold and the patty bites were missing, even though we were charged for them. I would not recommend, didn't enjoy them at all.
Great fish and chips, mushy peas where good this time. Service is always great and quality of food is great too
Good size portions and happy pleasant staff, you should try there!
