The customer service was nonexistent. This was my first time ordering from Wilma’s. I placed my order online. Walked in to pick up, and it was as if I was invisible. They literally were addressing everyone else but me. I really wanted to ask for my money back. Especially after I had to demand service after folks walked in after me, and was asked if they were picking up. And I intercepted with excuse me, I was here first. The lady asked if I had an online order, the name and just dropped the bag down in front of me and walked off. Didn’t apologize or nothing. It’s like you have to be rude to get service here. Waiting patiently and respectfully will get you no where. I ordered the Turkey tips and wings. Food was Luke warm. Fries were drowned in sauce. The Turkey tips were a large pile of thinly sliced Turkey. Not much taste & kinda dry. The wings were decent. I would like order from here again just based off the customer service.
I added some pictures from my second visit yesterday. The chicken wings, lunch version,and large turkey tips were delicious,and very filling. The Tuesday special large turkey tips was enough for several servings.
Well yes, I finally tried Wilma's BBQ. I placed my order online for lunch so I can just go pick it up. I get there. They're working on the parking lot so it took me a little bit to get a park spot because the parks were limited, and me trying to park is another story. I needed to order some baked beans because it wasn't part of the online order so I let them know that I was picking up and they told me to go to the register to pay for the beans. My order was ready. I drove home and open the goodies and everything looked great and delicious. I got the lunch specials: chicken wing special with fries, pork hot links with fries, and a small rib tip with fries. Everything came with a slice of bread. The only thing when ordering online it does not give you the option to order side orders or to order sauce on your chicken. So make sure you you pick up some sauce before you leave. The chicken was fresh. The fries were delicious. The tips were cut great. They were the perfect size. The hot link was great. You only get one for lunch so be aware of that. I purchased all of this for about $22. Great bargain! If you haven't been to Wilma's you need to go. My husband said the barbecue sauce reminded him of BBQ Kingdom restaurant that was on 5100 West on Madison Street in the Austin area. The place we grew up on had some of the best barbecue, but is no longer in business. I will be trying the turkey tips on my next trip. You want some good old barbecue? This is the place to be.
I placed my order just before noon requested to pick up at 2pm. You guys responded back and said between 210 and 220p no problem. I then received a text at 1:29p saying come between 2:20 and 2:25p again no problem. I check my order online at 200p and it says it is ready for pickup. I arrive to your Sibley location at 230p and see your crew grinding and remaining calm and courteous with many waiting patrons. I approach the counter and the young lady says if your order is ready I will call your name. I waited because I understand you're busy. I did not have a problem til it was an hour later and I looked at my phone and noticed I missed a text at 313p telling me my order was cancelled and I would be given my refund within 3 days. Nothing else. My first experience with your establishment and very disappointing to say the least. Why tell someone their order is ready when it isn't and not try to compensate them in real time. I will eventually get my money back but not my time. I hope you guys will be ready next time a first timer comes to do business with you.
Heard and read about, so checked this place out recently. Hot links, fries, macaroni and especially the greens were pretty good. Rib tips were tasty except I don't like them chopped into narrow slivers. Don't know why some places do this. Sauce was pretty good. Easily placed order through their website and very VERY glad I did because it was crowded and line was to the door. Service was good, pickup was easy. Was in and out quickly. Will definitely return and try their ribs.
I ordered from Wilma, requesting a small tip and a link for $18.86. Unfortunately, the food arrived in a small container with only 10 fries underneath the meat and sauce. This experience has led me to decide never to order from them again.
Went to the Dolton location. The service was great considering the wait time. Very nice and appreciative. Food was good. I didn't like the turkey tips .. it was just sliced turkey with sauce. I expected turkey chunks that would resemble pork rib tips. The wings were great.
Was told that the food was great what a let down first the good it didn’t take long to get my order the people behind the counter were friendly the package seemed to be a good amount of food now the BAD ,WAIT THE the sauce was good I ordered a small link and tip the links were cooked till thy were drying out and the tips were just plain out burnt to a crisp and tough but it was covered with the sauce which was good buyers be were I was told that the food was great and it was far from that hands down Grade F
This place needs more organization and faster service. We stood in line way to long for such a medium order. The food was precooked and yet they couldn't meet the customer volume in a timely manner. My first time there and I enjoy hot fresh cooked, didn't get it. Based on the long line, long wait don't see the worth, sorry. Won't be back.
