We just ate dinner here for the first time in about 5 years even though we live a mile away! I was very happy to discover that the food and service was even better than I remember. Great warm and inviting atmosphere, especially on the cold rainy evening we dined here. Our server was excellent and attentive.
The food was very good. I enjoyed my prawns and angel hair pasta a lot. A little disappointed with the calamari appetizer which seemed a little soggy.
Not a terribly expensive restaurant, but a nice experience. It would be great for birthdays and anniversaries. I suggest making reservations...it gets really busy.
All of the food was exceptionally delicious! Our server was very attentive. Watching the kitchen work was an extra treat.
I had rotisserie chicken with Butternut squash and mashed potatoes, Mom had a Blue Cheese burger with fries, and step dad had Pot roast with veggies. Creme brulee for desert.
Cozy environment, clean dine and restroom.
We were desperate for a good steak, in great surroundings with an excellent wine list, we are on the edge of the Napa valley after all!
Sadly we were a little disappointed with Wildfox. The service was haphazard, drinks were forgotten and the waiter needed reminding of our order. The appetizers were ok, although the wings were distinctly average. My biggest gripe is about the steak. It was tough, dry and lacked flavour, other than the lovely char on the outside and the miserly serving of sauce. The potatoes gratin I suggest you avoid as they were like sawdust.
Update!!! Went the following night, calamari was worth an 11 hour flight for, and the ribs were excellent. Also tried the seared Ahi, but that had a little too much rub on what is truly a hero ingredient.
And finally, sit outside on the terrace, and see the deer peering at you as you eat and hummingbirds in the flora.
Nice place that can be both cozy and romantic or lively and fun. It all depends where you get sat. It gets quite busy and I believe my visit was on a Friday night. I order the Wildfox cocktail, which unfortunately wasn't as extraordinary as it sounds but the Ribs were flavorful and fell right off the bone! I'd visit again to try new menu items!
Wildfox was pretty good, loved the crispy brussel sprouts. The vegetarian pizza with carmalized onions and crimini mushrooms was good but not the best I've had. Mushrooms should have stood out a little more
I had a New York steak that was requested as medium and came out a perfect medium. Super tasty. Great service too
Great atmosphere, reasonable prices, attentive service, delicious food - what more could you ask for?
Delicious, no wait to be seated, fast service, and an attentive waiter. A great example of a great dining experience.
