Best KPortal Reviews

Probably the best diner in Bridgeport. You can seat yourself at any free booth and they are quick to do a cleanup. The prices are great and you pay for how good the food is. They bring the food out pretty quickly after ordering too. It also pays homage to old Bridgeport, which is great to see.
I found White's Diner while looking for a local non chain place to eat before we left the area on a Sunday morning to return home. The diner had positive reviews so we decided to give it a try in support of local establishments.
It's a small , quaint place located on a busy intersection and shopping plaza. The first challenge we encountered was finding a place to park, once I found a space we entered and didn't have to wait to be seated, which was nice since we were anxious to get on the road for the long trip back home.
There was a bit of a wait from the time we ordered until the food arrived but it was worth it. The portions were large , served fresh and hot. I had to take the rest of my order in a to go box. I ordered blue berry pancakes, omelet with peppers and onions and a bowl of grits (I don't often eat grits at unknown restaurants) each of the items were prepared to order and were very good.
The only negative to the experience is that we didn't feel the waitstaff was attentive after we placed the order, not once did she come by to see if we were enjoying the food, or if we needed anything else i.e. napkins, more juice etc. Even when I asked for the to go container another waitress handed it to me.
I see a lot of the reviews complimenting the staff being bilingual and that's a plus as many Spanish speaking patrons entered the establishment and we could hear the conversations as they were seated and exchanged pleasantries with the staff. We didn't feel or receive the same type of welcome or exchange .
I recommend the diner for breakfast, however, more consideration should be given to make all customers feel welcomed and appreciated.
Had a great breakfast here! Split with my husband and it was still enough food. French toast was amazing ????
Very Pleasant experience, place is clean. We were waited on quickly and served fast. We were asked for more coffee many times. I can not say enough good things about place. Price is also very good, we will return.
Cozy, little place in the middle of a bustling shopping area. Seated right away staff was very courteous and attentive. Bi lingual staff as well. Food came out in good time, coffee had refills overall very pleasant experience 9/10
Huge portions of delicious food at lower prices than anywhere around. The most attentive service that I think I've only otherwise experienced in very expensive restaurants.
Warm atmosphere, filled with locals.
One of the top few diners that I have ever eaten at. Can't wait to go back. I keep trying to justify in my mind the cost of travel from Long Island just to again have such an amazing breakfast!
Aside from the food and service, this diner has been a Bpt staple for years. Inside there are nostalgic photos from and era when Bpt was in a better state. The service is friendly, the food warms and fills your belly. What more is there to ask :)
So I’ve been going to this place for nearly 10 years regularly .
I always get the sausage biscuits and gravy with 3 Sunny eggs and bowl of grits. With meal also comes with coffee and small oj . I haven’t been there for a few months. All the old staff is gone . Me and my mother were ignored quite a bit.
My problem was I was served rotten/spoiled meat from the gravy sauce. It smelled rotten and tasted spiced/bitter.
They took it back and asked what else i would like. Simple.. 3 eggs home fries and rye toast.
Round 2 ; eggs come out undercooked , potatoes were great… I start eating , here comes the rye toast . With a big old spot of mold on the side of the bread.
I show her the mold. She apologizes.
After my meal was butchered and laid to rest. I was still charged full price.
I USED to love this place. Now I don’t think I would return. Ooo. And I’m also sick .
