Called in for a drink,a good pint and friendly atmosphere with dog treats freely available
This is a fantastic 'proper' little pub....watched the Ireland v Wales game there 4th Feb as the only Irish customer ( there was also a super efficient Irish man Clive behind the bar keeping the very nice Guinness flowing) and boy was I well looked after! Beer including Guinness, reduced prices during the game and a lovely home made chicken curry 'free' at half time....I was even given a second bowl....amazing....the way Welch pubs used to be when the rugby was on????☘️
For me a great pub, very friendly customers ( considering the result...????????) and fantastic service from Clive; a proper barman and warm welcome fromthe lovely cheeky Courtney???? I hope this little pub goes from strength to strength....and I'll be back!
My partner and son went on Sunday after playing pool in the buffs, they sat down and a dog running after a ball made the table tip up. Only scratches and bruises thank god. They enjoyed their afternoon.
We popped in after returning back on the train from Tenby. Not much choice and for what we had to drink it was very expensive. Feel like we were taken advantage because we were holiday maker's.
I was there this summer. I didn't know anything about this place ,but a taxi driver dropped me off there as I had more than an hour to kill ! The bartender & regulars were so welcoming !! They loved my silly story ( why I visited there with my heavy carry on luggage & shopping bags ! )& I was from L.A.traveling by myself !! Lol A nice guy bought me a glass of cranberry juice as I hardly drink at all !! Lol. Awkward !! Lol. Indeed ,everywhere I went in Wales ( pubs ) they bought me drinks ( teas & a cup of coffee ,even though I don't drink coffee ,I drank it !! Lol.) !! And a very very sweet lady ( Jane ) paid for my bus ride from St.woolos cemetery to the city centere as I struggled to get coins out of my purse !! Welsh people are so sweet !!! So many people carried my luggage everywhere in Wales !! English people ,too in London !A very kind married couple carried my luggage & shopping bags all the way to my hotel from Newport central train station at night !!! I don't think anyone ,but Welsh do that !!? Many Welsh people guided me to the destinations & then they returned the same way they came from ( with me to the shops,restaurants ,hotels I was looking for !! ) !!! This pub was with many happy regulars when I got there ! Unfortunately I didn't get around to the other side where benches/ tables were ,I guess that I see them now in pictures here ! I was tired of carrying heavy luggage & bags & the 360°spinning wheels getting caught on stoney roads !! I looked so insanely silly for moving in slow motions with so many bags !! ???? ???? I think if anyone wanna get to know how Welsh spend their days/ evening &the locals really well then ,hanging out at pubs like this one & drink / chat with the local Welsh people is the best way !! I highly recommend this pub if you're in Kilgetty ,or going to catch your train at the train station there ,then ,drop by there like I did !! I wish if I took some photos there !
Great pub good atmosphere great barman and the fact they play the Liverpool games. Great win 7/1.

Went today and asked for food.The pub doesn't do food so they sent us to the cafe across the road. The cafe cooked lunch for us and delivered it to the pub where we were enjoying a pint of Double Dragon beer.
Now that's proper village life and we'll be regulars at the pub and cafe when we move to Begelly next year
This pub is amazing. There's age groups from 18 to 70+. Just enjoying themselves. The staff are great and helpful. For such a small village pub this place just works,
