Food was good but basic. The peanut slaw (pictured) is just sweet coleslaw with peanuts over it. Not what I was expecting. Staff and service was great and atmosphere is vintage and interesting. Would eat here again but not rushing to get there.
We come here about once every couple years and always have a great experience.
I got a peppermint cookie martini that was amazing, friends got yummy drinks too. We would have loved for the seasonal drinks to have a menu to look over. We almost didn’t get drinks at all bc there was nothing listed and we had to ask and then wait for our server to go ask someone else. They would definitely sell more seasonal drinks if they printed a menu, even a simple one.
For me:
Fried green beans 10/10
Peanut slaw 10/10
Alfredo pasta 7/10 (ate 1/3 and took it home to hubby)
Peppermint martini 12/10
Great place with good consistent food. Dark atmosphere with candlelight on table. Salads are always fresh. The prices are reasonable and make it easy to go back and try more dishes. The service is friendly and fast. This would be a great spot for a casual date night or I’m tired of cooking but want real food not frozen and fried.
Ribs are fantastic. Peanut slaw is different but worth trying if you like slaw. We were there with another couple and lots of discussionwas had. We arrived at 6:30 and left when they closed at 10. If they didn't have empty tables, we wouldn't have occupied one as long. We were never rushed. This was our first visit, and it was a great overall experience.
This is a greater Cincinnati best kept secret. We were sat in the post office booth. What a deal! Great prices, great service and wonderful food. We found this place after skiing at Perfect North Ski Resort. You won't be disappointed. The French Onion soup is to die for.
I was not impressed. The ribs were ok, but if they are “award winning,” the owner was probably on the awards committee.
The bathroom was also in dire need of cleaning and airing out.
What a gem! This historic restaurant in Lawrenceburg is a quaint, historic place with friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. And by the way, the food is great. Started with loaded potato skins. Then the famous peanut slaw which you won’t find anywhere else and is amazing. Got the breaded tenderloin and was not disappointed. A must visit if you are in the area!
First time eating Lawrenceburger!!
Not overcooked not undercooked...ReAlly GrEaT burger!!
