We needed to find a place to eat after my son's competition and this was right across the street. They had been wanting to go for some time now and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere is fun and the service was very good, the waitress knew alot about the menu and was very helpful for us first timers. The food came out fast and was delicious. I'm sure my kids would go back and they'd like to try the trivia! Would recommend.
Pulled pork nachos were good and the old fashioned was amazing! Little loud in there...like really loud. Pages of whiskey and burbon!!!
Our new favorite place! Comfortable atmosphere, excellent service from all staff, and last but definitely not least phenomenal food!
Highly recommend the pierogis, bourbon calamari, NY steak, maple bourbon salmon, brisket sandwich & the desserts! The creme brulee was to die for! It's bowl licking good!

My 4 roses old fashioned was sweeter than KoolAid. My burger was average, but my son told me his pork tasted like soap, then my wife confirmed hers did as well. I tried a piece of my wife's pork and my god did it taste like soap, lol --had to be a kitchen accident. They replaced the pork dishes with undercooked burgers. There are too many good restaurants in Rochester to return to Whiskey Rae's.
*I can cook and have high standards for food, but I keep expectations relative to the place I'm dining. I have an eclectic palette and have never asked for an alteration on a dish. In fact, I often encourage the server to choose my dish.
I went to this restaurant one time before with a friend and absolutely loved it! The food was amazing and the drinks and service had no complaints from me. I liked it so much that I have been planning to go back ever since. Tonight I made the 25 minute drive out and walked in at 9:55, seated at 10:00 and was told at 10:01 after being seated that the kitchen closes at 10 and I can no longer order. I asked if there could possibly be an exception because we had just driven out and were so excited to eat there again and the hostess went back and asked and came back and said they would make an exception. I was so relieved and looked over the menu and waited for our waitress. When the waitress came she informed us that the kitchen suddenly closed at 9:30 pm and that the hostess is just confused. I explain to her that the hostess already went back and asked the cooks for us and the waitress tells us no we closed the kitchen at 9:30. I am extremely dissatisfied in this service and had to drive back home 25 minutes. Very confusing and unprofessional. I came on a Thursday and online the hours say open until midnight Thurs-Sat, so I thought we had plenty of time, sadly definitely not making the drive again after the lack of customer care and unprofessional service.
My girlfriend and I haven't been to this place yet! Checked it out on a Thursday night and it was a great atmosphere!
They were having a trivia night that night so we participated in that! Drinks and food were great. Prices were ideal as well. Awesome service.

Food was not up to par. Salads were decent. Fish and Chips looked like frozen fish sticks. Burger no taste and not cooked. Calamari was disgusting. Had 2 dirty martinis and although good, there definitely was less than a shot of vodka in them. When you are a non drinker and drink 2 and feel absolutely nothing, it was watered down pretty good. This coming from a former bartender. Stick with the bourbon straight. I even thought that was a little watered down. Beware!!
