The service was good! I had the Coyote burger, but it was not what I was expecting since it was on the menu as a spicy burger. The last bite was the best because it had jalapeños, but it was overall a very sweet burger. But the Alfredo pasta was really good! With that said the prices are high for what the food is. I personally will not be returning due to the lack of flavor and the high price. But I would recommend you come here and try it for yourself. On the other hand The service was overall great! Juan was fantastic.
The atmosphere was nice and welcoming, the best way I know how to say it is “very warm”.
First time visitors. Sunday after church brunch. The food came out a bit slow, but it was good. Regular breakfast special..well, sausage patties were large and tasted new, not store bought. Tasty. Biscuit and gravy.. The biscuits were baked then fried. Wow that was good. The gravy was really good. Hard to find good biscuits and gravy. I am a fan. Wife had breakfast pizza mmm very good too. We will make this place a regular list!!!
Went here for brunch and ordered this amazing pizza that is sweet and savory (see picture). The coffee is also very fresh which is also something you don’t see to often. Crista was our waiter and she was very friendly and always kept the coffee full or drinks and you can easily get her attention if you need anything (Even brought a to go box before I even asked). Definitely coming back here again!
Almost forgot when my dad ordered his breakfast they were asking him ways he wanted to have his breakfast which they even asked how you want your bacon which I never seen before.
I was looking for restaurants near Mt Dora and was very excited to find the Whiskey Kitchen. The restaurant is located on North Highland adjacent to the antique mall. We had driven past this location before when it was the old Lakehouse restaurant, but we were never really interested in stopping in then. Now, the restaurant is new, and the building is completely revamped inside and outside and has a wonderful upscale feel to it. The parking lot has adequate space to accommodate a busy day.
We arrived for breakfast at 8:40 and were seated at a booth. I really enjoyed the open beam ceiling and lighting at the bar. There are plenty of TVs surrounding the bar area as well. We started out with coffee while we perused the menu. There's many traditional items, including some very unique offerings like breakfast pizzas! We stuck with tradition on our first outing. My wife had her eggs Benedict, and I opted for the 10oz ribeye steak and eggs.
Our food arrived in a reasonable time. The presentation was very good and I was surprised at how large my steak was. The steak was well seasoned and full of flavor. A rarity at many restaurants, the eggs were actually fresh! The biscuit was incredible too. My wife found her Benedict to be just okay.
Our server Kathy was terrific. She had been with the previous restaurant, Lakeside, and has been with Whiskey Kitchen since it opened. Overall, we really like the feel of the place and the food. We'll definitely be back to try lunch and dinner. Enjoy!
I highly recommend this place. We’ve been here three times now in the last week and I’m super excited that we have such a great restaurant with great food to come too daily. From the moment we walk in from the hostesses who were super bubbly and friendly to the bar who makes absolutely amazing martinis to the great servers to the cooks and delicious quality of food. Everything has exceeded our expectations. Love the outdoor patio with outside heaters. Everything we’ve had so far has been so good. You guys have earned a regular and super excited for you guys. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to trying your brunch
This afternoon we went to the restaurant for lunch. We had a table of six. The server named Sara was absolutely wonderful. She was very attentive to our needs and came back repeatedly to check on the table. The food was excellent. No one at the table had any complaints. we had a selection of sandwiches such as the pastrami special and the Ruben as well as the roast beef Philly cheesesteak. We also had some of the appetizers and salads which were just as wonderful. I can’t say enough about the service and the ambience of the restaurant. They have a happy hour from 2 to 6 PM with many specials that are very inviting. Hope to see you there.
This is a special place. Check out the entire menu including the different drink menus, whiskey flights and beers. The food is "inspired" with creativity and maybe a little whiskey BBQ here and there . Food and atmosphere is 5 stars. Newly built with no expense spared. Delicious! Brooke is a Way better server than her sister Meghan. Jk.
We were staying at the Lakeside Inn and were looking for a spot open a little later. Most places in Mount Dora close early, and this was a 4 min drive (within Mt. Dora). The food was delicious, I had the Chichen chicken parm pizza, and my wife had a burger, and my daughter had some tenders. Even the tenders were delicious! Our waitress was very nice too, can't wait to go back!
