This was a huge disappointment today when I went to Whiskey Creek Covered Bridge in Lebanon, KY. I was thinking that it was going to be a historic covered bridge but I was so let down to find out it is a modern made bridge and made to give an extra piece to the tours. Once I leaned this I left because I was there for the so called "Historic Covered Bridge" and not the tasting tour. I do not recommend this place if your wanting to see history and stay on the road looking for True historic sites.
Enjoyed the tour at the distillery and lunch at the restaurant. Would highly recommend both.
My Review is JUST for the covered bridge.
I was looking for historical covered bridges on Google Maps. This shows up as a covered bridge. It is, but a small modern one. See picture in ones people have taken. If you're going there anyway, enjoy it. I didn't go because it's 2.5 hours away and not historic. The area looks nice, so if I did drink, my tastes' have changed since Covid, I might go.
I gave it 3 stars because 3 is in the middle.
Well kept grounds, Makers Mark distillery in rear of property,. Took tour with tasting. Gift shop couldn't find low mid level bourbon that was include in tasting area. Left unimpressed seemed more of a tourist trap than the other more welcoming down home 5 other distilleries we visited. Member of Bourbon Trail.
Great place enjoyed the tour and tasting. The grounds are beautiful. After your tour they have a shuttle to take you back to the parking lot or you can walk back out.
Have been a few different times. Yet they keep adding new things to see and do. Recommended.
Very pretty place and great tour.
Very cool experience learning about whiskey production!
