My wife stumbled across this place on her way home from Macon....In the middle, virtually, of nowhere -- but FANTASTIC. She brought me a sandwich home, and it was really good. Now trying to figure out how to justify a trip down that way! Great texture...not dried out....and I even liked their mustard-based sauce.
Visited here on April 20th, after attending the We Stand With God rally in Atlanta. My son has been telling me about the fried potato salad for over 3 yrs. Oh my word!! It is so good!!!! Thought it couldn't get better. We were wrong. My son and I shared the Elvis sandwich. I can see why Elvis loved them! The portions are large, the sauces are very tasty. Worth the drive. They are only open a few days a week, and that's the only bad thing I can say about it.

Unfortunately, they have closed due to the passing of the owner and pit master.
A wonderful hometown place with the best barbeque around!! Their fried potato salad is Amazing!! The owner and his wife are always there to talk and serve! They catered our wedding rehearsal dinner!! They are outstanding...
This is my favorite BBQ place, I’m always telling everyone I know that they should eat here at least once in there life like a bucket list item. I’ve never left an online review before, but I felt compelled because I heard that they were shutting down soon and that saddens my heart. I’m making sure I eat there at least one more time before they do, but I wish there was some way to stop this from happening!
Very solid little bbq spot, with good fries and pulled pork. Mustard and Original sauce are pretty good. Could do with better sweet tea though, the tea tastes instant.
Where There's Smoke is a cut above most small-town BBQ joints. While their pulled pork and brisket are excellent, their sides are to-die-for. Try the fried potato salad or the loaded baked beans. A+
Passing through on the return from Macon to Monroe and back. Drive through waitress was very engaging with personality to spare, thanks for suggesting the fried potatoe salad, meat flavors were authenic. With all that's going on around us, was refreshing to find that people are still people on any given day in America. Waitress would remember us as we were clearly not in our hometown. We remember you too. Thanks!!!
Amazing bbq! I've had bbq all over this country and this place is the best ever! Owner came to see if we liked the bbq and it was amazing!! Great people! The brisket was epic! Home chips too! Just an awesome place!!!!!!
