Best KPortal Reviews

I - Can I get my wheels refurbished to original silver colour, they have minor kerb rash and original paint is peeling, bubbling around bolt holes. As standard and as simple wheel refurb as it gets. And I have set of new tyres to be fitted as well.
Y - We can certainly take care of this, any special requirements sir?
I - I would like you to skip preparation of any sort, because I like to keep them light weight without filler, if there is any kerb damage please leave it in for "patina".
Y - That is cool sir we can certainly do that!
I - As well I kind of like to pay extra £40 to upgrade from normal silver colour, to this special "blotchy silver" colour and I would like you to ignore that I asked WHOLE WHEEL TO BE PAINTED including the barrel!
Y - Consider it done sir! We good at taking extra money and doing half job!
I - As well could you powered coat my wheels in sand storm and make worst possible surface, if you don't mind, maybe you can paint with dirty gun and leave in some of black powder in silver.
Y - No worries sir - this is part of our standard service!
I - Fab!
On day of picking-up:
I - Good day, how was it?
Y - Good day sir! We would like to tell you that we have upgraded your with our special "kerbing packaged" for free!
I - Great - what is that?
Y - That is our special new tyre fitting machine, which leaves massive claw marks on the barrels and scratches every single wheel consistently for 5 inches on the edge. So now you don't need to worry about kerbing them, because we already pre-applied the damage.
I - wow, fancy! Have you ignored that I asked to paint the barrels and just left them black? And now wheels always looks like they are dirty inside?
Y - we sure did sir!
I - thank you, very much! What about weight savings?
Y - indeed, I forgot to mention - we have new technique to apply balancing weights on top of dust, so they fall off by themselves, wheels will become lighter as you drive!
I - you did not mention you can balance the wheels...
Y - no no... we don't have a clue how to do it, but that gives us opportunity to scratch wheel even more and screw something else! We specifically take hot wheels from powered coating and do everything before the finish can fully harden to make sure to induce as much defects as possible!
I - makes sense, top service!
Jokes aside - literally the worst quality wheel refurb I have ever seen. I have honestly taken wheel in better condition to be refurbished. In this instance it was friend who got wheels done for me, free of charge as part of me buying them, so I didn't have much say in it and in fact didn't pay any extra (the deal was that I am buying refurbished set).
However, if it would have been me - I would definitely refuse to pay anything for such horrible job and I would not even trust them to redo it, because I could not believe how bad is the work quality. Wheels have every imaginable defect, are all scratched, edges were damaged when fitting tyre, no prep was done, so all the pitting and all the scratches were left on the wheel, they literally told my friend they "could have prepped wheel for extra cost". That is part of the job, not an extra!
The finish is so bad and so compromised that they will all peel off within 2 month of driving. Some damage I can't even explain - there are cracked paint around all the centre caps, but caps are just plastic, push them in and that is it? It seems like they used screw driver to push them in, or maybe to remove them, but why? Finish the wheel and just clip them in, how it is possible to mess-up such a simple task?!
I put those wheels aside as I am planning to sell the car, so that they look at least fresh in pictures and maybe from 10 metres away...
Ohh and it is no joke - I left them in garage for 6 weeks and balancing weight just fell of from two of them. When I checked the weight it was not sticky because the tape was full of dust.
Pictures are just few examples, there is literally 100s of defects on every single wheel!
Shocking service... I recommend avoiding them at any cost!
I've just had my range rover wheels done. Service is excellent and the quality of work is outstanding. The tyres are removed from alloy and old paint removed and fresh paint applied. The price is cheap and I would not use anyone else now.
Avoid! They same company as Tamworth branch. They damaged my brand new tyre which cost me £190. Non competent staff. Non customer service. They always said card payment not available as card reader not working, they want cash only. Avoid at all costs!
Awesome place, very friendly staff, would highly recommend. Good All round prices too. I took a set of Celica wheels in before the lockdown for a full refurb and I was amazed at the results. I was going to put this feedback up sooner, but with the lockdown, I thought it might get overlooked. So, hopefully now places are opening back up people will check out this place and consider it.
Had my wheels refurbed by this company 18th feb.
First thing Website is very easy to use and understand,
I also poped in store to speak to one of the workers to get exactly what i wanted,
I had a same day turn around as i use my car alot so helped me by having my car back for the next day.
Last thing is the lads who work there deserve some appreciation as they did a outstanding job.
10/10.
4 photos attached
2 of how they were (silver)
2 of how they have turned out (dark graphite)
The wheels have turned out bang on
And i will be using this place again.
Thanks.
Used these guys a couple of months ago, refurbished a set of steel wheels for my van and did a fantastic job for a cracking price. Definitely recommend. Wheels done and ready for next day when told could be upto 3. Cheers fellas!
Please see below for the reason why 1 star.
At first Absolutely outstanding service and quality of workmanship with a very high standard of one day turnover, most refurbishment companies say that you have to leave your alloys with them for a few days before you decide to collect them.
But if you want same day return you have to book and be there for opening time.
Loan wheels available check first.
Friendly staff who are willing to help and provide advice / recommend colour or finished product.
Very reasonable and value for your money backed up fantastic service.
Would i recommend them No i wouldn't , you be surprised of the quality and on that i
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THEM.
1 out of 10,great work from the team.
Very impressed with the final / finished product totally transform the vehicle.
The best possible advice i can give is that i been to other refurbished companies and yes I've had a few sets of alloys done.
And by far the quality was not the same as i got from wheelfurb at first but now .
LIKE I SAIDlY take it all back what I said because wheels started to have defects in the paint work. Only been a 2 months before I had them done i hadn't any imperfections and now I have.
Sorry wheelfurb can't give you a 5 stars
Took my T4 camper in,we do alot of Vw shows and like to look good. Well we certainly will.My wheels went from. Matt black chipped up to gunmetal grey with glitter all for an amazing price! They don't cut corners it's a proper job from start to finish. I've got 2 more sets of wheels to go there now. You'll be a fool to go anywhere else.
