Came to this guy back in 2015. Had foolishly paid him up front to diagnose my car. Came in Late October. I had to call dozens of times (many of which he wouldn't answer or return my calls) leave voicemails, and Came to the shop twice to ask about the state of my vehicle. After a month and a half, he finally contacts me to inform me of the diagnosis. 4500 dollars for a 20 year old car to get fixed. I asked him what I needed to get the car off his lot he told me an Ignition control module and crankshaft position sensor. I put both of those on myself and got the used parts to do it from pull a part. My car had brand new tires and a lot of work i had already done to it so it was in great condition. I'm of the opinion that he wanted me to sell the car to him as a "junk car" and cut my losses (as he suggested I do) so he could then turn around and fix it and resell it. That car lasted me another 3 years from those repairs and 3 other repairs I had fixed at a different location and drove me across the country in 2016. I ended up selling the car in 2019 and I checked the vin last week and the car is registered and still rolling.

Based on my experience I wouldn't recommend this guy or his services at all.

Very professional and efficient, Alberto is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience he took care of my car as if it was his own, he cared about it and did an overall general inspection on everything even tho I only came for 1 thing to be taken care of, I appreciate all the time he spent on it, he also explained to me what I need to keep an eye on for my own safety and knowledge, as I am a girl and I don’t know much about cars. he took the time to instruct me I’m very happy with the service provided will definitely come back and I recommend it to everyone I know

Don’t hesitate at all trying them

Alberto diagnosed my jeep and after the diagnosis with the potential chance of repairs costing more than my car was worth, I decided to sell it and buy another. Alberto was honest and explained everything well to me so that I could understand what was going on throughout doing the diagnostics in making the best decision. He even called to check in about finding a new car. He helped make a stressful situation less stressful with his calm demeanor. I’ll be taking my new car here for any future problems I may have. *knock on wood*

This is the best repair shop I have used in years! They are friendly, super helpful, they will listen to your questions and concerns. They provide answers and explain details and make fair estimates. Plus they really went the extra mile just last week I had a dead battery and they came to my house to jump it. I'm only 3 blocks away but it's fantastic how helpful these guys are. I would recommend to anyone! I trust that they are fixing the right problems and doing it the right way and charging a fair price!

I have been searching for a reputable mechanic that does not price gouge and treats people with great customer service. This shop has taken car of me from simple oil changes to more complex problems. They are open and honest and try to help me find a solution that fits my budget. Other customers to, I stayed in the lobby for quite awhile and watched them tell other customers,"we called around and ask teg dealership about ensuring your part was under warranty"...they go the extra mile as if it were for their own family members. I will be a customer for a long time.

Alberto and his crew performed a thorough pre-purchase inspection on a used vehicle for me. They found a costly, labor-intensive repair that the dealer took care of before I drove it off the lot. It is 100% worth the peace of mind to have this done. More importantly, I felt welcomed at the shop, and treated respectfully. If I lived in Wichita, Wheat State Auto would be my first choice for honest, qualified repair work.

Called last week to get a quote on an ignition coil and 4 spark plugs replaced on my '05 Nissan, I spoke with Alberto he was very kind and knowledgeable. When I dropped the vehicle off, his assistant was very kind and friendly. While he worked on the vehicle, he found two other issues with the vehicle. He called me straight away and told me about these other issues and at asked if I wanted him to go ahead and fix them, he even had pictures taken already and wanted to show me before proceeding. He stayed late to finish the vehicle so I could have it up and running for tomorrow. When I arrived to pick the vehicle up he was even friendlier in person and amazing. He showed me where the oil leak was coming from, and explained the AC leak he had found. After the transaction he even gave us a coupon to come back and get work done later if needed. His work was very well priced and he takes pride in his work! Alberto will be getting my business again and again! (AND I live an hour away!) 10/10 I recommend Wheat State Automotive!!

Brought my vehicle in for front brake repair and rotor repair. Took them just a couple hours and did a wonderful job. The guys running it won't screw you either. Very knowledgeable people to allow work on your vehicle. 10/10 car mechanics here in Wichita area. Very trustworthy and reliable.
