Had my first cut with Phil today.
Had been going to my prior stylist for 25 years, until he retired last month.
Needed someone who was up for adventure in cutting and coloring.
Have been short, funky, and spiked for years and did not want that to change.
With that. I like dealers' choices. Surprise me with different colors.
My hair is thick and grows like crazy.
Get it cut and multi colored every six weeks.
I stopped by his shop last week, explained what I wanted, and he said, "Let me give it a try."
He asked for photos of my prior cuts and multiple colors.
Then, he knocked it out of the park.
Bravo darling.
I will be a regular client.
If you ever looking for a classic English bob aka Vidal Sassoon bob, Phil is the one! Phil has the best technique and listens to what you want, cutting to your hairs natural movements. I always leave the salon with the best hair and won’t be going anywhere else!
I can't begin to adequately express with words how talented Phil is. Every time I visit, it is the BEST experience! My hair always looks exquisite after he is done!! Best colorist in Ann Arbor by far. Price is on point as well! After years of searching for a hair salon that can pull off the perfect blonde, I've finally found my "forever salon". Paul has been cutting my hair for years and I haven’t once had anything but an amazing experience. Always on time, professional, and at a very reasonable price. Has never cancelled once in over 7 years!
I called to ask if they do walk in’s. The guy said no and hung up. Then I called back to ask if they had any appointments left for the evening and he said they were closing. Google says they’re open until 8. They don’t have a website or anything else to go by. I couldn’t even get my daughter in to see them but the phone contact left a lot to be desired.
A few months ago, I was in serious need of a haircut to tame the COVID mess living on top of my head. Westside Salon is walking distance from my work, so I decided to give it a try even though I'm usually the guy looking for haircut coupons on the back of Kroger receipts. I walked out of Westside Salon with the best haircut of my life, hands down! I went back yesterday and this haircut might be better than the first. I honestly got at least three compliments after leaving (one person complimented me and then asked where I got the haircut because I'm pretty sure he wants in on the secret.) Phil does an awesome job. I don't think I'll be going back to a #2 buzz cut anytime soon.
Got my haircut with Paul… Best mens cut I’ve received hands-down. He was prompt, professional, not awkward to talk with, and it was an all-around great experience. I’ve recommended many friends to Paul and will continue to go back to him for many years
Phil is prompt, asks what you'd like done with your hair and listens to what you'd like. He's calm and so relaxing, I could fall asleep in the chair, a wonderful thing. I appreciate that he's on the quiet side and enjoy coming to his shop. 5 out of 5 stars.
