Ashamed that I've only just gotten around to leaving a review now - apols. Visited the Outer Hebrides back in June and developed a flat tyre after taking the van to the top of some hill track to see a radar station! Managed to pump up tyre but wanted to check it was ok. Very friendly and helpful staff were brilliant and gave it the once over and didn't even charge for checking. (Forgot the young guys name but proper scottish brick sh!thouse build but a gentle giant with it). Massive thank you westside motors!
We dropped by to get an eventual break fluid leak checked out and the staff was extremely helpful und super nice! They took at quick look and reassured us we were good to go, topped up the fluid and double checked out tires as well! 10 out of 10!
Exceptional service from this garage. Cannot praise them enough for rescuing our winter holiday in the Outer Hebrides. Our failed campervan starter motor almost stranded us on Barra but George from Westside Motors (Benbecula) arranged for a local tow start that got us going and onto the ferry for Eriskay and then on to Benbecula for a very rapid starter replacement the following day, in under 3 hours !! They had pre-ordered the starter motor after our very first phone call....Brilliant! Can highly recommend this garage and all of their very pleasant, helpful and professional staff for doing a wonderful job. ????????????
Great garage and very helpful and friendly. Knowledgeable staff who go out of there way to help. We hired a car from them and the service could not have been better.

Absolutely fantastic people from the office to the mechanics. Took my car in for a pre-MOT check to see if anything needed doing. They found a couple of faults, rectified them and MOT'd it regardless. Brilliant, what a great place, you'd be hard pressed to get that sort of service on the mainland! ????
We had a brake pad problem while staying on North Uist. Westside garage staff were brilliant. We even had Nathaniel call on us between calling in and taking it back to be fixed (when the parts had been delivered) because we were worried at the sound it was making. Nathaniel retrieved a stone out if the callipers and reassured us that we would be fine. On taking the car in, the problem was fixed within an hour at a price far cheaper than we were expecting. This garage is amazing and the owner was lovely, reassuring us we would not be stranded. I wished we lived on the Uists so Westside was my local garage. Thank you so much
Had a slow puncture while visiting Benbecula. Dropped the car off at 9:30 and it was ready by lunchtime.
To fix the puncture (caused by a wee screw) it was £18 which is very reasonable. Typically for Uist I just handed over the keys and popped back with no questions asked.
Make sure you ask to see the Labrador - what a nice dog!
