Best KPortal Reviews

I was visiting the area from out of state with my family in our Honda Odyssey van when we noticed an intense grinding sound coming from our rear driver-side tire. We swung by Advance Auto to get some parts, but they recommended we head over to Westside Auto Repair due to the complexity of the problem: seizing up calipers, damaged rotor, etc.
When we pulled up to a parking lot full of cars where we were greeted by Steve who I believe is the owner. He was a southern, respectful man who seemed to know his work. He did some basic inquiry and had some small talk, then asked for the keys and said he would hope to have it back in my hands before the weekend. Sure enough, two days later the van was running great and the problem was fixed.
Overall my family and I were very thankful for the service provided by Westside Auto Repair. They went above and beyond to help us out, and in fact are still helping us troubleshoot an issue over the weekend. They were competent, kind, and exemplified the best of southern small-town America. I highly recommend their shop for any repairs your car needs, and in fact will make a point of using them in the future whenever I am in the area. I recommend you do the same.
I live 6 hours away I asked them to review The work and finish installing an engine another shop in Leitchfield put in. They had my truck for 2 months never called me one single time ever. The truck sounded exactly the same as when I dropped it off it took me 14 hours to drive a 6-hour trip the rest of the time we were working on the truck. Two spark plug wires were off when I got to his shop to pick up the truck water pump got loose we lost all the antifreeze the fan fell off and had to rewire the alternator and the ground cable to the computer on the side of the road! And this was after Steve the owner told me that he repaired all the grounds and the wiring and the truck was running great. They charge me for a mass air flow sensor and wires $300. Which thank God it was so cheap because I needed the money to fix my truck.(update). Steve finally called for the first time . To address my poor review of his shop.
Been there twice in the last 6 months. Once to fix no headlights on my truck and a 2nd time to fix the family van that wouldnt start. This place is my go to place now. Highly recommend westside auto.
Life savers!! Five stars isn't enough! About a month ago, a scheduling conflict left me towing our small camper on my own, with my two kids and our dog from Iowa to South Carolina for our family vacation. A little over 500 miles in, our Tahoe's engine overheated. It was toward the end of the day, during the week of the 4th of July, so I was terrified that no one would help. I quickly read a few reviews and called the shop. Westside graciously told me to come in. Not only did Steve repair my car in a very timely way, he gave us a cool place to sit, water for the dog, friendly conversation, general advice about my car that I could use once home, and suggestions about where to stop by in town. Everyone in his shop, including those passing by were incredibly kind to us. They made a scary situation, an uplifting and pleasant experience. To date, I still feel so lucky to have called them. Because of the shop, my kids had a vacation, my car is running great (it even stayed cool over the mountains), and I felt a renewed faith in people. There are good people out there! And some of the very BEST people can be found right at this shop! THANK YOU for the excellent work and experience!
Very knowledgeable! Steve and his crew know what they're doing. Very affordable. They took great care of my Ford Expedition. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and very helpful. I would recommend Westside to anyone who needs a car worked on.
First time I’ve ever left a review for anything — my car broke down on my way to my parents house and I called Westside randomly. Steve came and got me from my hotel, took me all over town to get my car and my stuff, helped me coordinate with the dealership — he probably spent 3 hours on the phone and helping me around. Just went way above and beyond and was awesome.
These guys saved me this evening. I drove off the highway into town (or hobbled and jerked to put it more accurately) due to me being a spaz and putting off getting my alignment fixed- both front tires almost shredded with wire exposed, a messed up control arm, and to put it how they did alignment "reallllllly off"...the owner, the guy himself drove me to get new tires and got my car up and running safely enough to get me home. Believe me, they went above and beyond this evening. I live hours from Leitchfield but as long as I am in KY, I will return to these guys for all my auto repair needs. You should too!
I was on my way from Fort Campbell back home to Richmond Indiana. I blew an oring on my 7.3 hpop. Was leaking oil everywhere. Looked up shops and Bill from goodyear told me Steve would be best guy to hell me, Steve and his crew are extremely helpful and good hearted people. I would definitely suggest them to anybody having issues off highway, or even local.
