Best KPortal Reviews

I am surprised after looking at so many bad reviews here. Out of the 3 dining halls at Georgia Tech, this is my least favorite. But even then I'd say the food and ambience here is pretty good.
It has an open seating with full sized glass windows to let in lots of light. It is spread across 2 floors and there's also private room seating and outdoor seating. The ambience is really calming. There are several serving counters with a variety of foods with weird names like tech tacqueria. It's all you can eat buffet style eating with optional take home box if you are on certain everyday meal plans.
There's a place with 3 types of pizzas and 2 types of pastas and sauces. Then there are 2-4 Asian food options. 2-3 burger patties and chips/fries. 3-4 Mexican food choices and 2-3 fried continental options. There's a separate salad, sweets and deserts section. They also have varieties of drinks, juices, milk and deserts. Then there are breakfast yoghurt, bread, waffle options.
The variety is enough to suit everyone's taste buds and has options to cover all types of allergies / dietary preferences. The taste isn't the best in my opinion but it ain't bad either. They shuffle the options every day and you can check the menu in the nutrislice app on your phone.
The door rates are as follows (as of 2023):
Breakfast: 9.95$ (upto 10:30am)
Lunch: 12.75$ (upto 6pm not sure)
Dinner: 16.00$
I'd say it is pretty affordable given these rates considering you can eat as much as you want.
Everyday plans however cost you 2700$ a semester which comes out to roughly 25$ a day. So you would need to go at least twice or thrice each day to make it worth it.
Bruh this place is so garbage. I'm paying $35 a day to get tasteless mediocre food. There's never any plates, forks or knives. Half of the time I'll have to stand around waiting for plates to restock or I'll be eating pasta with a plastic spoon. Drinks always run out on the drink dispenser. They always run out of condiments leaving mayonnaise the only condiment that isn't empty. I'm surprised salt and pepper is the only seasoning available to put on my bland food. The lines would go faster if it was self serve like Brittain, it's always a pain when they give you too much or too little. The layout of willage is terribly designed as a dining hall, the hallways are tight and people are always bumping into each other. It's just too busy during peak hours so the willage experience is 10x worse than during the middle of the day. They should either build another dining hall on West or turn the bottom floor of willage into dining hall to deal with the large influx of people. Out of all the dining halls at tech, willage is by far the worst, and it is the only dining option in West campus.
I suppose those on meal plans would find the food here monotonous. But if you're trying this wide-variety all-you-can-eat buffet once in a blue moon (like me), you'll surely like it!
Ate here for a year and a half. Very poor variety of food, staff that is intrusive and rarely any fruits available except for a consistent oversupply of oranges.
I was very impressed with this cafeteria. When I was in college we had nothing of this caliber. There is a wide variety of options and the food was well prepared, fresh and tasty. I had an exquisite cranberry cheesecake desert upstairs. I will return.
Not so crowded and a really good deal at $8/person with some choices every Friday. Like their roasted fish and pork tacos.
Sometimes thr food is good, always try to check nutrislice app before going inside.
3rd floor refill coffee is rarely working.
Pizza crust is often overcooked.
The best food served here Fried chicken, which is not healthy.
There is often mislabeled food and there is redundancy between food stations. (All of them serve beans and rice.)
They serve chicken wings with feathers sometimes
Really not very good food, plus it's miserable to walk through bc the hallways are so tight. Also the images of food in the description aren't accurate at all; a lot of the food looks like this (and tastes similar to how it looks). At least there's a nice view from the 3rd floor and the people who operate the cafe up there are nice
