I’m concerned for this pharmacy. Over the past year I’ve had issues every 2 months when trying to collect my repeat prescription & sadly, haven’t always been met with a helpful response from the lady who runs it. I believe they need more staff as the lady appears over worked & stressed. I’ve been both polite & patient, really I have. This time I tried engage in a conversation with the pharmacist as I’d checked with my doctors prior that my prescription had already been released & available to collect. This was contradicted by the pharmacist leaving me without my required medication. Both chemist & doctors can’t be correct. The NHS app tells me my prescription is available……… this pharmacy tells me it isn’t….. with attitude. I write this review in the hope this business does indeed see it, read it & accept something within their system & interactions with customers needs to change for the better immediately. I fear their more vulnerable & timid “customers” won’t raise their concerns or issues sadly. I too ran a small business for over 12 years so I recognise the signs of an exhausted owner……. I’ll now choose to go elsewhere
This is a small and friendly shop where the owners get to know their regulars. They also stock useful items not readily available elsewhere. They do close for lunch, which can be inconvenient.
i am using west st. leonards paharmacy for a long time as adiabetic person sue the owner is allways very helpfull never had any problem with them .

Do not go to this chemist, Sue is rude, slow, argumentative, screeching at me as I dared ask if my prescription was ready. Her husband is equally as miserable and rude. She shut the chemist at 3 pm as she had a strop and refused to give help to anyone who came to the door saying shes was unwell and not giving advice. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a so-called professional!
Having used this pharmacy to collect prescriptions for an elderly relative for some time, I have found the lady Pharmacist short tempered and rude on more than one occasion. She is easily stressed and becomes snappy and when you respond she accuses the customer of the very behaviour she is exhibiting. Caring professionally for many clients and using a variety of pharmacies over the years I have never come across such unprofessionalism and will have the medication redirected.
If I could give a 0 star I would. This has got to be the worst pharmacy I've ever used. Not once was my prescription ready when I went to collect it, once she couldn't find it, and once she put somebody else's details on my tablets. They are never open when they say. And far from polite. I would not recommend at all.
Asked if I could have some over the counter medicine, pharmacist told me she didn't believe I had the condition. Accused me of mocking her? Very odd. Avoid. Purchased online no problem.
I have had nothing but good experiences with this pharmacy. Have been using it since before Sue took over. I've found her to be a very knowledgable pharmacist, always there to give advice to me and my entire family (all of which are on different medications) Very good with my 5 year old son, friendly and professional. This is mine and my families go to pharmacy.
