I have used Lino to maintain and upgrade my 2006 T1N for just about ten years. I drive about an hour to take the van here, despite other local options. He is deeply knowledgeable on these vehicles, an effective problemsolver, and usually gets the work done very quickly. You're in good hands with Lino!
Came in with a check engine light in our 2006 Dodge Sprinter. Lino was able to help us out the next day with replacing a part. However, the following day the light was back on and the issue was clearly not fixed. Charged us for a full hour of labor despite the fix taking less than 20 minutes. We were fine with the charge if it fixed the issue, which it clearly did not.
Came to the shop during posted opening hours the day after he worked on it but it was shut. Confirmed over phone the following Monday that we could come in for Lino to take a look at it. We were staying an hour away (which he knew) and so did not want to make the drive without confirming he had availability. When we arrived, he was not there. His employee was able to run the code and then informed us they could not work on our van because they were too busy. Wasted hours of our time, did not fix the problem, and forced us to look elsewhere for reliable help.

He was sent by Mercedes to be trained by the German Engineers and worked in the field professionally for many years!
Lino trained so many people! Fixed so many different types of Mercedes Sprinters & he is well trained in generations 1, 2, 3… and can fix anything.

I drove 2 hours to have them work on my 06 t1n Sprinter because no other mechanics knew how to diagnose the issues I was experiencing. Called West Coast Sprinter up and described the symptoms and they diagnosed the issue right away. I had a quote and appointment with them the next day. Will definitely be coming back to them when I need work done for my Sprinter!
Lino and Rito are the coolest and most accomodating mechanics I’ve ever come across. You can bank on the fact that they have a quick turn around time, and know the ins and outs of these Sprinter vans both old and new. Not only do they keep a huge stock of new and used parts on hand, but they are thoroughly knowledgeable in being able to diagnose problems and give a in depth explanation of what is ailing your vehicle. These guys will look out for you! I found my spot for sprinter needs and upgrades to my rig. Thanks again Lino and Rito for your hard work and honesty!
Can't say enough good things here. Lino and his team know everything there is to know about Sprinters and are super helpful. I called them up and they were more than happy to talk about everything going on with my van and came up with a solution that worked really well for me financially. During the work Lino would keep me updated with everything going on, and they were super fast on turn around (engine swap in 3 days!) I will definitely be bringing my van back next time she needs service.
We were driving down the road when our vans front wheels almost popped off. The guys that built it out didn’t put the hardware back on properly and it was extremely unsafe to drive.
What to do?
Get the wifey to find the closest sprinter expert to us. That would be Lino at west coast sprinter. Too bad it’s closing time and he’s going home.... but wait he’s cool, very cool. He stayed and fixed it at a reasonable price, and got us back on the road within a couple of hours. I’ve never had service like that in my life. My wife called him the sprinter whisperer. If you have a sprinter issue this is your guy. If I have major work I’m going back for sure.
Flew out from Dallas this past week to pick up my Father's very neglected RoadTrek Sprinter motorhome and drive it back to Texas. Wanted to get her a good servicing before the trip. Gave Lino and Rito a call. They fit me in immediately. Got the oil changed, radiator flushed, transmission flushed and they even fixed my AC problem all in a day in a half! Very friendly and very affordable. I was impressed with Lino's tales of how he drove his Sprinter all over the US and Central America. These guys know their Sprinters. If you live in or are passing through the Central Coast of CA, don't go anywhere else with your rig!
