This is probably the slowest drive thru I have ever been in. I have been sitting here with the car turned off for over an hour in the same spot. This happens every time I come at night. I can hear them over the intercom laughing while nothing is getting done. I seriously hope they shut this place down and completely get new management. I’m so amazed this place has as many stars as it does
This is my local Wendy's that I have been visiting 17+ years.
Its okay but always hit or miss.
You may get a good burger at one visit be it inside or late night drive thru then a not so good burger the next visit.
The baked potato is always hot and good!
Most of the staff are so very nice, truly super nice then you have the one who some days does not look to be very happy.
I do miss the meat quality of years past but that all changed with the push for low saturated fats in food many, many years ago, anyone remember the 70's commercial based around how juicy the Wendy's burgers were, so juicy you needed extra napkins... That was then, this is now.
I do hate the touch drink machine at this location, last visit was out of everything NOT diet. Many times no ice, please toss that machine in the trash and go back to regular drink machine.
That touch drink machine is a bit "germy" touching that along with everyone else prior to eating is a turn off.
This Wendy's is okay, I will continue to visit every now and then but not often. I'm glad it has a late night drive though but I will admit out of all the other fast food places in Murrells Inlet Wendy's is my last choice, however that all changes after midnight now that everything closes early and I am thankful I can grab a late night burger but be prepared for a slow long line.
This Wendy's is what it is, okay but so much room for improvement but that was the case 17 years ago as it is today. Nothing changes, always middle of the road, 3 out of 5 stars....
Last week we set a good five minutes to give our order with no customers inside and we were second in line outside. Finally they took our order. Tonight we pulled into parking lot no outside lights on at 5:30. We were fourth in line outside. When two cars pulled up they turned lights on so the menu lite up. We gave our order then set in line for over 5 minutes and decided to eat elsewhere and left. Two vehicles were still setting at the windows when we drove off. Use to be a good Wendy’s but not anymore.
Ordered my food through the mobile app got to the store before 10pm the door was locked. Was stuck in drive through for 30 mins.. Called the store and was told sorry you have to wait in drive through line like everyone else. The food was not even ready when i got to the window Worst experience ever. I will go to McDonald's or anywhere else in the future. I don't fault the staff. If the company is going to provide an app option you not have to wait in drive through line.
I will only come here if the line is short, because of how long I know that it takes if the line is longer than just a few cars. With that being said, I usually have a pretty good experience. However, it is disappointing when you get home just to see that they forgot a burger. My order wasn't difficult, 2 of the exact same Biggie Bag meals, even down to the sauces and drinks. I don't know what is/isn't being translated in the back, but a $12 order shouldn't be missing the most important item of the whole meal.
The food was decent. We waited a long time for our food. There was no leadership in the building. Everyone did what they wanted. Store needs a good manager to take control of the store.
Unfortunately a poorly managed and staffed location and has been for years. Service is always painfully slow, with poorly trainee and unfriendly workers. Multiple occasions I have done large order ahead for events, giving them hours of prep time and they won't have started on them until after I arrive. Be prepared to wait half an hour in drive through for a normal order as well. Best to avoid it if there is more than a car or two in line. Wendys either needs to shut this location down or clean house and start over with new hires.
This drive thru has got to be the slowest in history. I think I grew old and gray waiting to advance up to give my order. Please. Can ya'll tear this down with the mall and start over?
