A very quaint restaurant in Welborn,FL. Hamburgers were great, and a little crusty/crispy added flavor to the burger. Potato salad and cole slaw were very good. French fries are good, but some were not cooked all the way through. 5 ???? $$ Good food!
A great little out of the way but local place. This was a great find. Food delicious; Service was friendly; Atmosphere was charming as advertised. My first visit. I'll be back to try lunch or dinner soon. I highly recommend it.
I ordered the $11.99 Hamburger Steak with brown gravy and onions with mashed potatoes and gravy and green lima beans. When I arrived to pick it up they hadn’t started cooking it yet so I added a $7.99 “special” which was a grilled chicken breast with mashed potatoes and gravy and a side (I ordered green lima beans). When I got home, both plates were disappointing to say the least. The hamburger steak was a small hamburger patty the size of a happy meal hamburger patty with brown gravy and a tiny bit of onions. The mashed potatoes had no gravy and the green lima beans were hard like the water was cooked out of them and they had no butter or seasoning. The chicken plate was just as bad the hamburger steak. The chicken was a tiny piece of chicken that was cooked too long and dried out. The green limas were the same as the other plate. I mixed the potatoes together since only one had gravy and tasted them and they were awful. The potatoes tasted old and overcooked. Photos attached for you viewing pleasure.

Delightful little country restaurant, located in a turn of the century country store and gas station. Of the beaten path maybe 10 minutes out of Lake City off of FL highway 10, it is well worth breaking here if you are traveling across the state.
The name really does say it all: country charm. Expectedly reasonable prices for home-cooked food. And delicious hot coffee!
Amazing food and amazing service. My coffee never even hit halfway empty, the server was attentive and on the ball, pre-bussing and making recommendations. The french toast was great and flavorful, and the country fried steak was well seasoned, tender, and crispy. This was our first time here but definitely won't be our last.
You would never believe it, but this place is amazing! We had pancakes, pigs in blankets, and a breakfast sandwich, and everything was delicious and ready in a flash! The staff were super polite, and the process were good. Trust me, it doesn't look like much on the outside, but you don't want to miss this breakfast!
Everything was very good. Prices are a little high. I also got some banana pudding in this tiny cup that cost almost $3 and it wasn't even a full cup. The staff is very nice and polite.
