Dated back to the 13th century, this is one of the places you will want to come in order to escape a very busy life in London.
Lots of benches, picnic tables garden and water futures to enjoy this secluded tranquil place with your family.
No Dogs except guide dogs are allowed there though.
We have enjoyed our visit there and definitely recommend it!
A beautiful landscaped park with working fountains and gazebos makes your stay enjoyable in any weather. Ancient trees, squirrels and flower beds are all preserved with care. With dogs no entry.
What a peaceful place with all green spaces, little culvert ark, ornamental pools, ducks, squirrels, flowers... it seems a little part of heaven in the middle of the town. You can also see the Tudorn Barn inside it, go and enjoy with traditional British afternoon tea.
I had often passed this charming place on the train but had never ventured through the gates until today. It's really lovely - plenty of water features, rockeries, flower beds and playful grey squirrels. It's much larger than you think! Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
A real hidden gem, a quiet haven. Lots of water features, rose beds, the most well fed squirrels in Greenwich, mallards & moorhens, a variety of trees (some ancient). Explore past the walled rose garden into the wilder area with a stream & picnic area. Recently all wooden footbridges have been renewed. Feed the ducks in the moat around The Tudor Barn (a pub/restaurant).
(Dogs not permitted)
I really like this park, it has its own spirit. A lot of water, trees, green, squirrels! It's kind of a unique place as it's not visible too much from outside. Our family just love this place most of all parks we have been in London.
This is a hidden jem, it has easy access from the road through both by walk, bus, train and car. Parking can be free in the adjacent road. It has various entrance. If you enter from rightside corner entrance you will find the tudor free house. Further down there is a kids play ground. The environment is very lovely and calm. This park is suitable for all age groups. There is a quiet and calm Zen garden. A rose garden and many other special beauty in different sides of the garden. The entire park is having new seasonal flower bloom. There are lots of rubbish bin and pet litter boxes. There are different sizes and shapes of ponds and channels, which attracts ducks. There is a water fountain in the middle. Lots of squirrel roaming around all the time as if they are the owners of the area. The restaurant had enough comfortable sitting spaces both inside and outside. The outdoor decor of the restaurant made it an interesting place to visit. The stuffs were helpful, kind and welcoming. The toilet is in the middle entrance, not in a good shape. Enjoy ????
A very pleasant place in just a few minutes from Eltham station. Beautiful, old trees, nice fountains, flower gardens, and lots of squirrels.
