So sad. I have eaten at Wedgewood Pizza in Austintown and Boardman for 30 years, literally every month. I also used to have our work crew meet daily at the Austintown location and get slices throughout the summer. Fernando would almost always be there making pizza and checking the quality. What a great guy and awesome product he had. He always said never go down on your quality, and he proved it.
Since he has been gone its been hit or miss, but just today took the cake. 18.25 for a half sheet half cheese and half pepperoni? Hey ill pay it, but when I get home and open the box, i notice something. The half with cheese only is so skimpy on cheese that half the pizza is just sauce! The pepperoni, skimpy as well. The crust edges were burnt as well, like it was rushed on high heat, which is funny, as we were the ONLY pizza done, and not many tickets on the ovens.
What gives people? Do you really think in this economy, with all of the choices for pizza in the area, that you can just rest on your Reputation? This is NOT the same pizza Fernando worked so hard to create, and its just sad really, as it used to be the gold standard for the tri state area, but now it seems to be just another company with no quality standards.
One of the best pizza chains in the Youngstown Area. There are multiple locations throughout the Youngstown, Ohio area. The pizza has a great crust that is crispy enough when fresh with a light buttery taste. Also, it still holds up when reheated in the right time in an oven. The sauce is a great balance of sweet and savory. The cheese amount is just right. Also, their other toppings like in the pictures here are great and compliment the pizza well. If you are ever in the Youngstown, Ohio area. I recommend you try a Wedgewood Pizza. It tastes great and will leave you satisfied. This is. An example as to how Youngstown, Ohio has great pizza. Their wings come in groups of five and have plenty of meat on them. I recommend their Mild Wings.
The pictures shown are from two different times I've gotten pizza here. This place has consistency in having the best pizza. I love the original everything pizza, but the other specials are great too from white pizza to the house special to this delicious monstrosity. From the crust to the sauce to the toppings, you can taste the love and freshness in every bite. The wings are good too and they have beer and pop making it very convenient. This place is a local staple and if you're from out of town I urge you to dine in or pick up some of the best pizza in the valley.
The pizza used to be so flavorful and delicious. I have been to the Boardman location twice now and the pizza is subpar at best. The white pizza has no taste other than dough and cheese, the sauce tastes off, and the crust was undercooked and over spongey. What was once great is now just average.
In my humble opinion, Wedgwood has the best pizza in this area. Always fresh made to order. The best and most unique toppings. When you take a slice, the cheese stretches in a way that you know is good. It's worth every penny that you paid for it.
Love this family restaurant. I’ve been supporting this business for over 30 years. I have never one time, let room repeat, not one time have I ever had anything bad. Never been talked to rudely. Never had bad food. And it has always people in there, smiling while they work.I think that that is very important for a business owner to instill in his employees. Look happy seem happy and you’ll make your customers happy.
My pizza is awesome I create my own red, mushrooms,hot peppers, broccoli, and cauliflower, green peppers. The bomb. I would usually get the everything and it was great but my creaction is the BEST. 5 Stars!!!!!!
This is the best pizza I ever had, memories of childhood bike rides for a slice come up every time I visit. This is a must stop every time I’m back in town!
