I recently dined at We're Outside, a BBQ place in Alton, IL, and overall had a positive experience. The BBQ was flavorful and well-seasoned, with a good variety of options to choose from. However, I did find that the meat could have been more tender.

The atmosphere of the place was laid-back and welcoming, with friendly staff members. The prices were reasonable for the portion sizes and quality of food served.

Overall, I enjoyed my meal at "We're Outside" and would recommend it to BBQ enthusiasts looking for a casual dining experience in Alton. I would give it 4 stars.

Good BBQ for a good price.

We're Outside is off the beaten path, but it is easy to find. It's just a little shed and you order at one window from the outside and pick your food up at the next window. They have a huge patio if you want to eat on location, but it is not pet friendly.

I 'm a fan of Pork Steaks, so that is what I ordered on my first visit. It was fork tender, I could pull off a bite without using a knife. The flavor was good and not over sauced. All their side dishes are housemate and delicious. My sides were; Mac-n-Cheese and Potato Salad. The Mac-n-Cheese was rich and creamy, but for me it needed more pepper (easy fix). My Potato Salad was one of the best that I have had at a BBQ joint.

The young lady working the order window was friendly and answered my questions professionally. Owner is usually on site from what I have heard and he to was pleasant to talk with.

This location is convenient for me and I'll probably become a regular. So, when you go to give it a try, we may cross paths.

Got the Pulled Chicken, half slab and spaghetti. Everything was tasty. Chicken sandwich was on the small side. Ribs were very tender. Spaghetti was slightly softer then I would have liked. Flavorful though. I'll be back again.

The pork steak was maybe the best I've eaten!! It was delicious. The wings were very good, too saucey for my taste but the sauce was very good. My daughter said the Mac and cheese was awesome.

The service was fast and accurate.

Great little place. The owner seemed really nice. Will definitely be going back. Had the pulled pork because i had never been there. It was excellent. Plenty of flavor and tangy sauce, not too sweet. Chili was good also. The kids had a hot dog and a chili dog and said they were yummy.

I went for the first time today. Everything we had was awesome. Pork steak was tender and smokey. All the sides had unique flavors. They were way better than the same options at other places. Five stars. We’ll be back for sure.

We at Lowe's love We're Outside. Had a Lunch event for our Pro Contractors last week. Troy and his team really made our lives easy. Pulled pork sandwiches and potato salad for 100 people, and it was amazingly prepared. The food was so ???? ???? ???? I highly recommend We're Outside! Truly a fantastic food and BBQ.

Would recommend for family event/ outdoor gathering.

We had a stack of Ribs, wings (you get an option sauce or no sauce). Speghetti, mac&cheese and potato salad.

Overall enjoyable, Potato salad was the winner.
