Best KPortal Reviews

Came for early dinner today 04/02/2023. Ordered the Big Easy combo with fries and drink and the double bacon combo with tater tots. You can taste the freshness of the produce, meat and fries. The fries and tots were crispy. Only slight critique for the tots was they were SLIGHTLY over seasoned but still delicious.
I've been wondering why this place has mixed reviews, and I get it now. Firstly, everything is very good - the fries are perfect, all the ingredients are fresh, and the food is made to order. I support that 100%. Is it pricier than fast food? Yes. Is it fast food? No; more fast casual, which is great, and makes the wait worth it.
Ironically, the burgers are the worst thing they do. By "worst" I still mean good; it tasted great, and it has great flavor. The burger had a great crust. It was expertly cooked.
The patties are incredibly thin. I ordered a single because it was my first visit and I didn't know how large they would be. I absolutely needed a second patty. Without it, it's less of a burger and more of a beef sandwich. Each bite was 90% toppings, which was disappointing. If you're a fan of big burgers, this is not it. Which is fine; not every place needs them. But too thin is an issue when it's a $7 burger.
The cheese was perfect. It wasn't too thick and it wasn't gummy. It melted exactly as it should have, and it tasted like cheese - I hate when there's cheese on a burger and you can't even tell.
The restaurant was incredibly clean and the service was great. All three people working there knew the place like the back of their hand. This is definitely a location that knows what they're doing, and they do it well.
I did not order a milkshake, but the person I was with did. They said it was perfect, which is high praise from them. They can be pretty picky about shakes.
Again, I don't want to come off combative and I don't have any complaints about my visit. If you like thinner burger, you should absolutely give this place a try.
Found this place as I was in the area and had pulled into the parking lot to look on my phone to find a place nearby to eat. I looked up and this place was there and a hamburger sounded great. It was a bonus when I went in and they had tater tots.
Upon entering, I was a little bit confused on where to order. If you stand near the door where I would have thought the line would form, you can't see rhe menu. If you go to the other end, there are condiments and that's here they hand you your food. With the register in the middle. Just a tad confusing.
Once you get in front of the menu hanging up, it is very clear on what the steps are and how to order based on what you want.
I ordered the single burger with tater tots and an Unsweetened tea.
The place had the "oldies vibe" to it which was very inviting. It was super clean.
While your food is being cooked, you can see your food being cooked. All of the staff was extremely pleasant.
The burger was fresh and juicy and the bun was super soft and fresh. Perfectly cooked.
The tater tots were hot and cooked perfectly and were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Everything was super delicious.
They did offer a smores milkshake, but I am not a big milkshake drinker. But I did see women else's and it looked yummy.
On a side note: as I waited for my to go order a young girl came in and needed a job. All three staff members were so amazingly nice to her and they offered her a job on the spot. They were so kind and gracious to her. Was just so nice to see how kind they were to her. Very refreshing.
Like a steak-n-shake dated a carnival. The burgers are so good. They have all that yummy, cheesy goodness. The cheese frys with bacon, cheese curds with bacon and cheese on top. It smells amazing when you go inside. Gives me flashbacks of walking through a Carnival and smelling all the good food. ????????????
Trying the newly just opened WayBack Burgers.
A made to order Burger Joint. There was a line when I entered. It took 20 minutes from entering to eating. The burgers are good but I've had better. I ordered the O-Fries and they were cold. The portions were small compared to the price. The seating arrangements or a bit crowded. A few tables with chairs inside and out but because the menu is small I think they are counting on you ordering eating and leaving. This is not a place for social gatherings. I was not impressed.
I ordered through Uber. I paid $15 for two big easy burgers with a 25% off discount. Not only was the food delicious but it was prepared early and the service was good. I really don’t understand why these guys have a 3.7 rating. Some of the best food and service I have experienced in a while. especially for the price. Thank you Wayback burger !
(Updated at end)
This place is great! I'm so glad it made its way to titusville! If you have read some of the bad reviews please read this review. Wayback is a, fast food, made to order burger joint. Their burgers are seasoned well, juicy but not overly salted. I could eat the bread by itself too because it just tastes good. They are juicy burgers that actually have a good beefy flavor even without ketchup and pepper. They are better than the Mcdonalds, Burger King, Wendy's etc. The onion rings are light and seasoned well and pair with everything (I dont even like onion rings that much). The fries like everything else have a nice flavor without over seasoning.
The service is great and the people have been very attentive and helpful. Some reviews have had complaints about wait times and restaurant size. Here are my thoughts.
I attended the grand opening and yes it was crowded and there was a wait. I also have a five and two year old who were there with me, so I understand the uncomforts of standing in line. I understood when I walked up to the line with my wife and kids what I was getting into. Unfortunately grand openings can be rough. People are not nice and the volume of orders is overwhelming. Chefs who have years of experience run into situations like this. There is always room for improvement but these guys at Wayback are on the right track!
The inside structure itself feels a bit small for the ordering section. This could be a headache for both customer and employee in the future. I have eaten outside every time I've gone because of this. Thank God the weather has been nice. The dining area is nice too, but it just seems a little space management could be addressed. Considering the mall this is located at is growing exponentially and the movie theater is a few feet away, the crowds may never die down. The challenge of great service, food, ambience and hi traffic will be a challenge, I feel Way back will overcome. Remember this isn't French cuisine in Paris, it is a made to order burger joint and at the time of this writing still within its first few weeks. The food is good and the people are friendly. I will continue going myself but more importantly my kids and WIFE love it!
Update* 10-27-2018
After 10 months and many visits I do have a bit more perspective and here are my thoughts. The food is good but the service is not great. It seems like the staff is unhappy to be there and it translates into how they interact with you the customer. I just ate there as of this update and everything we got was really good but the same vibe of - this is not where I want to be - was still quite noticeable. I will say it wasn't horrible today and I appreciate the staff that helped us however it was still a very dry energy. I do still recommend Wayback Burger as a cool burger place with tasty food, but the service, in my humble opinion, needs some energy.
The Burger was the best. The folks were friendly and quick with service. When you're at Wayback, be ready to be laid back and easygoing. I don't know if that is their slogan but it should be.
