Best KPortal Reviews
I am fairly new to okc and this is my first time here at way back. The Customer service is the absolute best the chefs had very good communication. Fantastic food will be here daily! Thank you.
My son and I wanted a burger not like the boring usual. Way back in Edmond is the place to go if your looking for a gourmet burger! Great customer service and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be a returning customer! It’s hard to find great customer service now days it just don’t exist. Way back is the answer!
Overall a very underwhelming experience. I have never left a google review before at a place as I am not a picky eater whatsoever. The food and the milkshakes here were actually very good. However, I did have a few disappointments.
1.) Price and Quantity: My girlfriend and I both got a milkshake and a burger, that's it. Between the two of us I believe this came out to around $32. Everyone knows Five Guys has increased their prices recently, however, at least you are given a very large quantity. Here, the photos on the wall made it seem as if they were large burgers, but when I actually got my food I would say they were no larger than what you would get at your local high school cafeteria. When we got home I looked at my girlfriend and said "are you hungry" and we both kind of were. I expected for $32 to actually be fed enough to be full but I guess not.
2.) Service: the service and staff did have a positive attitude, which we both appreciated. However, it took around 20 minutes to get our food, and 25 minutes to get our milkshakes. Along with that when our food came out they didn't call our name they just sort of looked around and guessed where the food went. They brought my original milkshake to another couple who got there after we did. And after waiting so more, curious as to if that was my drink or not, when the another milkshake that looked like mine was about to come out I snapped my finger at the employee because once again they didn't call out the name of the order and just walked around to see which tables may or may not of ordered that shake.
this was our first time visiting and we may be back soon. we went in during lunch time and they were busy, but our food was done quickly. as for food, it was okay. our burgers were good but the buns were eh. the buns were kinda soggy and just not good. if they would’ve been toasted then it might’ve been better. the cheesy bacon cheese curds were delicious and the best part of the meal. the fountain machine was out of ice and some of the options seemed broken and didn’t give out drinks appropriately. the worker did apologize for the inconvenience, but it wasn’t really that big of a deal to us.
when we first ordered and paid we were kinda shocked by the price, but once we looked at the receipt we noticed we were charged for an extra burger. we brought it to her attention and she quickly apologized and refunded us for that item. i wish we would’ve remembered or had her name so we could give her recognition, but she had short hair.
The employees here need some serious retraining or someone higher up needs to be at this location. I came in for lunch today and their system was down. It was explained I could place an online order but couldn’t place my order at the register so I did. I still ended up waiting about 20-30 min for my food. Most of my lunch break was spent waiting because two employees were walking in and out of the building to smoke/vape and talking to someone who seemed to be their friend that came in to order food. One girl was making everything while another girl not in uniform was on the phone and helping that girl to make all the food. I used to frequent this place often for lunch. The service used to be amazing. The service has been less and less over the last few months. This place is going downhill, every time I come in it’s always one person working while the others seem to be gone doing who knows what. Front counter girl with brown hair has been short and rude several times with me as well. I unfortunately won’t be back. This was the last straw. Any other restaurant at this intersection is much faster and has better service.
I was in for a late lunch with a friend and his 3yo. The staff was SUPER kind, as the little one had a nosebleed on the way to eat, and was still bleeding when we got there.
They knew she was upset about her nose bleeding, and gave her the cutest, "just her size" cupcake, to cheer her up. Their thoughtfulness was sweet, and her excitement was contagious!
I ordered through Uber Eats with priority delivery so it wouldn’t be cold when it arrived. While it was still warm, it was the grossest food me and my granddaughter have eaten in a while. You know it’s bad when a 6 year old chicken strip girl says it’s “nasty greasy” and wouldn’t the chicken. It looked burned on the outside and each piece was saturated in grease on the inside. I picked up a piece and you could literally squeeze grease out of it. The one word that comes to mind about the burger is soggy. I managed to take the second bite and spit it out. I’ve never experienced a burger quite like it. The “soggy” was grease just like the chicken. From the top bun to the bottom bun, you could press slightly and grease just oozed out of it. The fries were cold and disgusting. Just kinda laying there limp and greasy. The tater tots were on the very bottom in the bag and just the weight of the other greasy things had the tots all packed down into a pile of mush. It was almost like one solid tot and when you pressed with a finger grease oozed up around your finger. What makes me the most angry about this is that I splurged to order this - $40 for the food plus delivery. All in the trash. Oh and one last thing, strawberry milkshake- tasted like play dough. The worst tasting I’ve ever had. I’d pretty much bet there was no milk, ice cream, or strawberries in it.
There are some pros about an old school burger joint that is modernized, but there are some cons. The service was easy and the food came out fresh and fast. The fries came out fresh, but lacked any salt. So there wasn’t much flavor to them until I added some salt. The burger was also made right after I ordered and was juicy and all the fixings were fresh. I feel like they add so much to the burger and forget that the meat needs seasoning. The Pattie’s are thin and don’t really have much flavor. If it wasn’t for all that goes on the burger this would be pretty bland. I did love the shake though. Even dipped some fries in it. The fries are actually better when dipped in the shake! Haha! Enjoy!
