2024-04-05: I visited Watt Street Tavern with some friends on karaoke night (Friday). The music was very loud and drowning out the people singing, but it was an enjoyable evening. Breanna was our waitress and she did a fantastic job taking care of our table. I ordered a bowl of Tavern Crab Corn Chowder, and it was very good. We also got a "Supreme" pizza and a "Ohio Best" pizza...both were very good.
The chicken and waffles looked very sad , was one piece of chicken on a thin waffle, definitely not worth 22 dollars !
they also have a weird smell in building.
Only reason it’s getting 3 stars from me, is bc the pizza was pretty good and our waitress was awesome !
Welcome to Bland Land, where the smell of cleaner and sewage are in a constant battle for dominance. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip to start. Very cheesy, the top of the dip was barely broiled (this is important, cooks know), and the tortilla chips were about flavorful as communion crackers (not sure why they are boasting about their “house made” tortilla chips”). I ordered the chicken tender dinner with the rice pilaf and side salad. When I say bland, I mean it. Not even the barbecue sauce could save those poor tenders. We kind of knew we should have left after walking in and smelling cleaner instead of good food. But definitely after we walked past the kitchen and did not smell any kind of good food aromas. Our waitress was awesome and fast; shame this place is beneath her excellent customer service skills. Two entrees and an appetizer were $70. That was the final bullet. Fortunately we are just travelers passing through and will never have to dine here again.
Nice upscale diner/pub. Everyone was super friendly. Highly recommend the Mush! I haven’t had Mush this good in many years! Also the cook knows how to make real fried potatoes, not those store bought coated things you get at other places. Deliciously homemade and real food. Prices were very reasonable too. Great cocktails! They had the ideal, real Lemon Drop Martini which you can never find anymore that isn’t watered down with sour mix. Everything was delicious.
The food is a hit or miss for me, but I've had better than worse here, though. Pricey for the amount of food you get. My favorite is the smothered chicken. Very clean, always friendly & great drinks!! Don't forget dessert! They have a great patio outside! Parking can be a problem at times.
I want to start by saying our server was great.
We ordered appetizers and drinks at the same time. We had our appetizers in about 10 minutes. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks. I ordered the ribeye medium rare. It was medium well to well done. My husband ordered smothered chicken. His food came out 8 minutes later. I won't go back. The table table next to us also had issues.
Very nice place. Was passing through on our way home from hocking hills and decided to stop in Circleville.
We needed a dog friendly patio place to go to since we had a little fur friend with us and this place offered just that.
The food was good and came out VERY fast. They weren't busy at all when we arrived, we were earlish in the day.
I got the red beans an rice with anduillie sausage, it wasn't new orleans'esque enough for me. I'm a critic because I literally just got back from new orleans and I was excited to try these red beans as to possibly find a place that does it like the south...nonetheless though...they were tasty.
My friend got the fish sandwich on potato bread and she said it was good.
The pulled pork nachos were tasty for sure.
Nice spot in a small town.
Great selection of craft beers and two full bars. Family restaurant in downtown Circleville. Great service, good food, good atmosphere.
Pizza, red beans, fried pickles, Ruben, and salads are on point.
Chicken and waffles returned to the menu recently. Not great; a toaster waffle, drowned in syrup, with two chicken fingers….. not worth the $22.
