Went in for a PPD today, the receptionist was delightful as she was my last time here (2 months ago for a physical) paid out of pocket for my test and waited. Mackenzie (lpn) called me back in about 15 minutes. I asked to have the test filled out on the second test line as I had a PPD done 2 months ago and this new employer requires 2 PPD tests. She had to leave the room and go ask if this was acceptable. She came back and said it was. She cleaned the site and was ready to administer the test when I mentioned that I won’t be coming back to this site to get it read and she stopped and said “ you HAVE to come back here to get it read!” I asked when that rule changed as I have had many PPD’s placed and read by a licensed provider elsewhere as I am in healthcare and cannot come back to a certain facility within the approved time frame if my schedule doesn’t work. She stated it’s always been a rule. I had to agree in order to have the test placed ( I’m on a time crunch as I have only so much time to have this placed and read then submitted). She placed the test and said your paperwork will be ready for you up at the front once I’m done filling out the form I brought in. Waited for my paperwork and when I went to get it the receptionist handed me a generic form that said to come back to that facility to have the test read. I asked politely for my form as it doesn’t work with my schedule. She said it had to be read there and I again reiterated that I will have it read elsewhere by a licensed provider as my schedule will not permit to come back to this facility. She went to go get someone (an old grey haired woman) who was EXTREMELY RUDE, stated it was their in house policy to hold onto the form and she wouldn’t be giving me the form. I said ok then refund me, she said that I had the test placed and she would not refund me. I stated that they should have told me about that policy before I had paid and I would’ve went elsewhere. I then asked again for my form and she slammed the glass sliding glass window shut in my face and walked away. I opened the glass and stated that she can give me my form or the police can come and get it for me as it is protected health information and I am within my rights to have that form in my possession. She begrudgingly got my form and threw it at me and slammed the glass slider shut in my face again and walked away. BEWARE! DO NOT GO HERE AND WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT BACK INTO THIS FACILITY. YOU ALL NEED TO DO BETTER!
Went in Yesterday, Monday around 11:30 AM. The receptionist was very kind and the nurses were okay, kind of in a rush but nothing terrible however the doctor Robert was very dismissive of my symptoms and wasn’t listening to my concerns and refused my request for a Strep & RSV test even after I explained I worked with children and was out of work until I had all negative tests. Now I get to go to another today and hopefully get some answers.
Update: not even 24 hours later I’ve been diagnosed at a different urgent care with a severe sinus infection. Skip this place and go somewhere that knows what they’re doing.
Was told by Ms, Bell the NP that they do not give dr notes for your work. I find that very hard to believe. I work for federal government and after 3 days of being sick you need a dr note. I had a sinus infection and was treated like I was a faker. It was a complete waste of the 2 hours I waited. Do yourself a favor and never go to this Urgent Care. I went to another Urgent care, on Arsenal street and found out I had fluid in my ears and a sinus infection. My ears and my sinuses were not even looked at at this urgent care.
I went there for a viral infection and a uti… provider asked me one question about my uti and put me on amoxicillin, 3 days later I ended up in the ER with a bladder infection, a kidney infection and kidney stones. Never going back there
Went there for an inner ear problem. PA came in and as soon as he came in the room, he said, you probably need to see an audiologist, without even looking in my ear. Finally he took the ear instrument and quickly put it in my ear for 1/2 second and told me there was nothing wrong with my ear. Went to my own dr and was told I had fluid in my ear. The most unprofessional medical person I’ve ever encountered! Will never go there again.
Do not go here. I brought my wife here with possible bronchitis and an ear infection. The young male doctor said she was perfectly fine and then that was it. We then saw our primary the next day and she has not one but both, ear infection and bronchitis. Worst ever. Unprofessional nurses and doctors.
I am shocked reading all of these negative reviews. I have been coming to this urgent care for several years, and have always had a great experience. Office has always been clean, staff has always been polite and respectful. Yes most days there is a longer than I like wait time but why can't people just be patient I will be continue to use this facility .
I would give it less if I could. The staff at the front desk was delightful. The nurse and the barbie doctor, not so much. Rushed me through the whole visit, did not wait for my answers, was covid and strep were negative told me to go get over the counter medicine. If I thought over the counter medicine was enough I wouldn't be here in the first place. Never coming back. My insurance was charged $240 her to tell me to get over the counter medicine. Oh and, I still feel like death.
